In less than half a minute, Henry Ronan got up first and walked out of the bedroom.
Lucy Ansley lay awkwardly on the bed. Catching sight of her sweater, she hurriedly sat up and pulled it on. A hair tie also fell out from the neckline.
A moment later, she slowly made her way to the living room.
Glancing around, she didn't spot Henry Ronan.
From the kitchen came the sound of a spatula, and upon looking closer, it was just the chef responsible for cooking.
"Ma'am, sir is outside smoking. He said if you're too hungry, you should drink this glass of milk to fill your stomach a bit first."
As the chef spoke, she brought out a cup of warmed milk from the thermos.
Lucy thanked her and returned to the living room, sipping the milk in small sips.
The lampshade above her head allowed bright light to spill down. With a quick glance, she spotted a figure standing against the night outside the window.
