The roar of hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children erupted across the Arena, shaking its very foundations as the games officially began. The sound was deafening; cheers, screams, and celebration blending into one overwhelming wave of noise.
Strong vibrations coming from the crowds sent one message to all the contestants; everyone there was ready to watch every Mutant and every Normal show off their skills.
For many, that realization bred anxiety. Fear crawled into their chests as they stepped closer to the Arena floor.
What if they failed? What if they embarrassed themselves and became nothing more than living, walking memes? What if they flopped so badly that their performance was etched permanently into the public's memory?
