The majority of Desper's common folk sat packed into the bleachers, barely shielded from the elements, squeezed into narrow seats with little to no legroom, and worst of all, deprived of any real sense of personal space.
Due to the high number of attendees, there wasn't enough space for everyone to sit and feel comfortable in their personal bubble, which was a rare occurrence if they were lucky enough to secure a seat.
These congested, uncomfortable seating conditions disgusted most spectators, while others ignored them and enjoyed the games regardless of where they sat.
Desper's top one percent, however, lived in a different world.'
They occupied the private wings built atop the Arena itself; box-shaped enclosures with large, angled panes of tinted glass overlooking the battlefield below. Each wing was spacious enough to comfortably host up to a hundred people at once.
