Leaving the Lee Family, it was almost nine in the evening.
Elise Don pretended to have a test the next day and said she needed to study late into the night, so she asked William Don to take her back to school.
It had only been half a month into the semester, so where would any test come from out of nowhere? William knew his daughter was in a bad mood but didn't expose her lie, instead he said, "You wouldn't be retaking an exam, would you?"
Elise got out of the car, turned around, and made a face.
"I got all A+'s last semester. There are only a few like me in the entire Academy of Fine Arts, and I even got a scholarship, alright?"
"You want shares and a scholarship too, you little money-grubber!"
William teased her fondly, his eyes filled with satisfaction.
The car window slowly rolled up. Elise watched William's car drive away as her brilliant smile gradually faded.
