After all the competition events of the day were completed, it was time for the award ceremony.
The top dozen or so domestic swimmers lined up to go on stage for photos and to receive their awards.
In the 100-meter butterfly event, Oliver Bloom won a gold medal, and Justin Campbell got a bronze. He was probably the happiest of everyone, waving desperately at the broadcast camera.
That evening, everyone gathered in front of the TV to watch the replay. Justin Campbell, seeing how silly he looked, was full of regret and embarrassment to the point that his toes curled into the ground.
"Stop watching, stop watching, you guys stop watching!"
He grabbed the remote and changed the channel.
Just as Marian Bloom came out with Aaron Reed, bringing fried chicken and skewers from the kitchen, "Quick, try my cooking!"
Justin Campbell and Liam Shane rushed over immediately.
Oliver Bloom glanced into the large kitchen, seeing Aunt Jade frying, stir-frying, and stewing, busy beyond measure.
