Aaron Reed never cares about anything outside of the swimming pool, even knowing he might have offended Elise Don, he still has no intention of making amends.
He simply smiled, "A sharp-tongued girl, you're smarter than you look."
Elise Don squinted at Aaron Reed, "Do you think I'm pretty but brainless?"
Aaron Reed was slightly surprised, not expecting Elise Don to be not only pretty and smart but also quite temperamental. Just outside the door were her boyfriend, her boyfriend's mom, and friends.
Usually, when a girl comes over, she's all submissive and polite, but Elise Don, she doesn't yield an inch.
Aaron Reed stepped back, "Sorry."
Is this considered lowering the flag and ceasing the drums?
Or is it hurting her, so give her a little consolation?
Elise Don wasn't buying it; she turned to leave the area.
