Elise Don slept until past eight in the evening, waking only when a nurse came to remove the needle.
Shay Windsor was even more anxious than she was and asked, "How do you feel?"
"Hmm, much better after a nap." Elise Don thanked the nurse, and as she was about to pull her hand back, Shay Windsor told her not to move.
Elise Don didn't dare move, and watched as Shay Windsor held her pale, slender hand, leaned over to inspect the light blue pinprick on the back, and blew gently on it.
Like soothing a child.
A warm breeze brushed past. Such a man with low, soft eyebrows and such an intimate gesture made Elise Don's heart slowly warm up.
She quickly withdrew, abruptly changing the subject, and asked, "Let's eat something, are you hungry?"
Shay Windsor chuckled, casually retracting his hovering hand, and straightened up, "I know a bakery that's quite nice."
