In the Light kingdom, Celeste walked by the river of light, her hands behind her back. Although her gaze was fixed on the river, she was staring at nothing and her mind far from the present.
She topped and stared at her own reflection. Even if it was nightfall all over Arcadia, it was bright as day in the Light kingdom.
She stared into her own eyes, and her mind traveled back to a time far back. A time when she stood here like this staring at her own reflection. But unlike now, back then, she was soaked in blood. Her platinum hair had taken a dark crimson shade, and staff dripped with the blood of those it had slain. The sky, although daytime, was as dark as midnight, even in the Light kingdom.
Roars of beasts and dragons echoed throughout the land, and the scent of blood, smoke, and all other foul smells filled the air. Rotting corpses littered all over Arcadia. Corpses of both the citizens of Arcadia and the creatures from the world below.
