Chapter 41 - feeling of helplessness

Audrey laid on the cold floor in a very uncomfortable position, tears streaming down her eyes nonstop. Her hands were tied behind her back and she had been laying on her side for to long, her body felt sore.

With great difficulty she pushed herself up so she could seat, luckily she had flexible joints and she brought her hands forward. Her hands hurt, but at least it was more comfortable than the last position she was in before.

She laid facing up, letting out a sighed. What a wonderful world, for the fortunate and sorrowful world for the less fortunate, Audrey phrased in her head..

Audrey felt so tired, battling a lot of things all by herself. She felt so frustrated she couldn't hold back her tears anymore. Tears rolled down her eyes nonstop till she bursted into loud sobs, "help me!"

"Anyone! Please..", she cried.

She wept till her head hurt and her eyes turned heavy. Audrey just laid there her eyes red, and her headache grew the more she wept. She couldn't keep her eyes open any longer, she felt really exhausted but couldn't let herself close her eyes. She was tied up in an unknown area, with men who had bad intentions, she couldn't afford to sleep.

But her body said otherwise, her eyes turned heavier by the minute. She tried everything to keep herself awake, from biting her palm to biting her lip,to hitting her head on the wall, but nothing worked

She hadn't fully recovered from the incident at home and here she is battling another, she struggled till she couldn't anymore. She just let herself get consumed by darkness.

Audrey found herself in usual dark environment, everything felt so peaceful. Why is my unconscious mind more peaceful that my real life?, she asked herself.

How could she look appealing to those bad people, she was literally so skinny, dark circles and bag under her eyes, yet the boss found her attractive. She barely had blood in her body cause she looked pale. She looked no less to a walking corpse, who would want to buy her?

Tears welled up in her eyes again, captive of my own mind, and to someone else, she thought.

She felt so frustrated, she couldn't die and it weighed on her terribly. She wasn't fortunate but at least couldn't sheI be happy

Audrey rolled herself into a ball, sobbing. Everywhere was dark and silent so her cries were loud.

"He took my parents, why can't he take me too?"
