Chapter 1 - suicide attempt

Disclaimer: this content contains suicide attempt.

She sat on the top edge of a building thinking of different ways to kill herself. She has tried walking in front of a moving bus, stabbing herself with a knife, slitting her wrist, and countless other things.

Nothing seemed to work, and It really annoyed her that each attempt she made , she seemed to survive everytime. How was that possible? Was it luck or cursed?.

The longer she lived the more her desire to die grew, the urge kept increasing.

What was the point in living when everyday is nothing but suffering, regret, broken hopes and dreams, it was torture.

She haven't felt happiness in years, each day was worse than the last.

Still sitting on the edge, she took the glass bottle that sat beside her then threw it down. It fell so far, it shattered into so many pieces. She looked down at the ground, gauging the height of the building and the sizes of the broken bottle pieces, it was nothing but powder.

It's now or never, she thought getting up from her sitting position.

She looked down at the ground, the building was really high up, she could barely see the ground.

Should I jump? maybe I shouldn't, she contemplated.

She closed her eyes stretching forward her left leg, when someone spoke.

"My, my. what do we have here? So you actually want to jump? I thought you were just trying to gain attention, like all those desperate girls. But damn this is worth every second".

She carefully turned to see a tall light skinned man, his skin looked really pale, it almost looked like he had no blood flowing in his body.

He looked in his early thirties, his long grey undercut covered a bit of his black eyes.

His pupil were so big that looking into them felt like she was going to be sucked in.

who is this man? I have never seen him before, she thought. But lord this man is gorgeous

His pointed nose complimented his well constructed, his deep voice still echoed in her mind.

It was still in her mind that this man was amused by her attempt to kill herself, was this man a serial killer? because no sane person would just stand and watch a girl stand on the edge of a building and Instead of bringing her down or talking her out of it, he is encouraging her.

She felt her curiosity eating her up inside so she has to asked, "Aren't you gonna try and stop me or something?".

"Nah", he shook his head.

"what you're doing is none of my business",he replied placing both his hands in his pocket.

Before he placed his hands in his pocket, she caught a glimpse of his hand, his nails were painted black and they was some writings on his fingers

"why are you here then?"she asked carefully turning towards his direction, any wrong step and she would fall back.

She has never met this man nor seen him before, but She still tried her best to recall, if she ever came across this man even if it was once.

She came here so often, and never once has she seen him before. how did he know I was here?, she asked herself.

"my sixth sense told me I'd find some one here, so I came", as if reading her mind.

"When I saw you throw the bottle, I thought you'd chicken out after seeing the outcome of the glass bottle. But then I saw you standing up, it turns out you've got balls. I wonder what life has done to you to make you want to take this bold step" he smiled revealing his marble white teeth and sharp canine.

Alot, Life has done a lot to her, she was relieved that someone who supported her decision even if it wasn't the best.

She took a deep breath carefully turning around to face the other way, she has a lot to ask him. She wanted to ask who he was, how he knew about this place, maybe stall a bit.

She turned her head to ask but he wasn't there anymore. This was a sign that there was no going back, she had no other option. She closed her eyes, feeling the breeze pass through here hair.

"no turning back", she said taking a step forward.
