Chapter 37 - Chapter 37

"What's the name of the orphanage?"

"It's Sherloof Orphanage, a few minutes' drive from Beverly Hills." "But… why are you asking? "Don't worry, Daisy," Jeffery replied with a small smile. "I know what I'm doing. Come on, let's go. Dinner's been served."

Yeah, sure… but I want to freshen up first."

"Of course. The master bedroom is upstairs."

"You said it's a three-bedroom condo, so—"

"Yeah, yeah," he cut in. "All the rooms are upstairs. "Okay…" She paused, then turned back with a shy glance. "Are you… spending the night here?" "Maybe," he said, giving her a playful wink.

She quickly turned away, clearly flustered.

"Owww, so cute," Jeffery thought with a smile.

Daisy's P.O.V.

Jeff is something else. Was that wink even necessary? I shook my head with a small smile tugging at my lips as I walked toward the first door on the upper floor. It was obvious this was the master bedroom the door was grander than the others, with gold handles and intricate carvings. I twisted the knob and gently pushed it open. What met my eyes made my jaw drop.

"Oh my God…" I breathed, completely stunned. The room was a masterpiece. Luxury at its finest. The curtains were made of fine cotton, laced with golden rings that shimmered under the chandelier's soft glow. The rich purple color of the fabric perfectly complemented the polished marble floors. In the center of the room stood a massive bed, neatly made with crisp white sheets and a fluffy blue duvet. To my left was a sleek wooden shelf filled with books. There was a cozy tea area with a small glass table and chairs, and right in front of the balcony was a beautiful masterpiece swing.

I stood there, soaking it all in, until curiosity pushed me forward. There was a sliding door beside the shelf. I gently pulled it open and nearly lost my balance. "What the heck…" I whispered.

I was standing in the middle of a massive walk-in closet that could rival a boutique. Clothes, shoes, bags, hats, jewelry, and even designer sunglasses filled the space. Everything was color-coordinated and perfectly arranged. It was unbelievable.

"Did Leo get me an entire boutique?" I murmured, still spinning slowly in place.

I wonder what Alicia's closet looks like if mine is like this… As I walked further in, I spotted another door tucked behind a shoe rack.

Phew, that must be the bathroom. I stepped in and instantly gasped again.

"Mama mia…" I whispered.

It was like stepping into a spa inside a seven-star hotel. On the left was a wide shelf filled with all kinds of bath products shampoos, oils, soaps, scrubs all in varying scents and brands. There were multiple sections for different skincare routines. It was divine.

I grabbed the honey and milk range. The scent alone was enough to melt every stress away. I didn't want to keep Jeffery waiting, so instead of soaking in the Jacuzzi, I opted for the glass shower cubicle. The water was warm. The scent? Heavenly.

A quick and soothing bath later, I wrapped myself in a towel and returned to the closet.

Now came the hard part choosing what to wear. There were so many options, all hanging delicately on gold racks. It was already evening, so I needed something comfortable but decent enough for dinner.

"Ugh… wearing a nightgown to dinner would be so rude…" I groaned, pacing the closet in frustration, my index finger pressed between my teeth. What do I do? What do I wear?

After several rounds of indecision, I walked over to a section labeled "Loungewear."

There it was soft yellow pajamas with cute white polka dots. "Hmm… this will do," I nodded to myself. I slipped into them, took one last glance in the mirror, and sighed.

Finally. I'm sure Jeff must be waiting."
