Archer's heart was about to leap out of his chest. He was again kissing Journee. She was again close to him. He softly wrapped his one hand over her waist and moved his other hand to hold her cheek. He made sure that his palm was not hurting her red cheek. He kept moving his hand away from her cheek and landed on her neck. He snaked his hand at the nape of her neck and pulled her closer.
He felt his heart jumping in and out of his chest, and he didn't know why, but tears started falling down his face. He was so glad that she was safe and in his arms. The way she was about to jump in her daze made him die a little. And now he was breathing in her scent, holding her tight, kissing her with all his emotions. He knew that she would be okay now, and that overwhelming feeling was dripping down his eyes.
