Chapter 32: Signature Scroll

---Before the Shop Open---

Today was an important day for the Uzumaki Clan the grand opening of their brand-new shop in Konoha. It is not just Uzumaki Clan who excited, even shinobi and civillian too.

For weeks, the entire clan had been preparing for this moment. Nearly 2/3 of the Uzumaki members had been busy producing scrolls, working long hours without complaint creating a scroll. The sound of ink brushes scratching against paper had filled their warehouse, accompanied by the faint scent of sealing ink that seemed to cling to the air.

Their signature product was the Healing Scroll, something they had already promoted across the village. Word had spread fast, partly because of their reputation as the most powerful Fuinjutsu clan, and partly because of Raiken's clever marketing.

Instead of taking out expensive advertisements or relying on formal announcements, Raiken had chosen a more direct approach, he used several prototype healing scroll level 3 for the most severely wounded on Konoha Hospital. When people saw with just one scroll it can heal the severely wounded shinobi, it directly spread and organic marketing achieved.

He had make sure that Uzumaki members who test the scroll will announce that their scroll price will started with as cheap as a bowl of ramen.

"Uzumaki Sama, can we get those scroll more?" asked the ninja in hospital.

"This is prototype, we will open a shop later," answered the Uzumaki ninja.

"Shop?" asked the confused ninja.

"Yes, we will selling healing scrolls for the price of a bowl of ramen," replied Uzumaki Ninja.

"So cheap," shocked the medic ninja.

"Yes, not many people have many so we wanted to make a scroll that affordable as possible that is why our healing scroll will started with a price of a bowl of ramen" replied Uzumaki Ninja with smile.

Since that mouth to mouth promotion succeeded.

The result? By the time the shop opening hour at 9 a.m. drew close, a massive crowd had already gathered in front of the Uzumaki Scroll Shop. The line was so long it wound around the corner, with both shinobi and civilians eager to get their hands on the healing scrolls. For shinobi, it was an invaluable tool that could mean the survival on their mission. For civilians, it was a miraculous safety net — something that could help them survive an accident or injury until they reached a hospital.

But the customers were in for an even bigger surprise. When they looked up and saw the huge banner hanging over the shop entrance, their excitement doubled.

There weren't just healing scrolls for sale — there were two more brand-new products.

1. Fire Stove Scroll

This scroll was designed to completely replace traditional firewood. It was sold at the same price as three sticks of firewood, making it affordable for almost every household. When activated, the scroll would burn with a stable blue flame, perfect for cooking food more efficiently and evenly. It didn't produce smoke like firewood, which made it ideal for indoor use. This invention was made by Kenshiro, it was Raiken who asked him to make one and he manage to deliver it, he had spent weeks refining it to make sure it was both safe and reliable.

2. Mini Storage Scroll

Storage scrolls already existed in Konoha, but this one was special. Unlike the bulky ones used by shinobi, the Uzumaki version was compact — so small it could fit in the palm of a hand, about the size of an inhaler. Despite its size, it had an interior storage space with a diameter of around two meters, making it perfect for civilians who needed extra space for household items, or shinobi who wanted a lightweight alternative.

The most revolutionary feature of both scrolls was that they didn't require chakra to operate. Instead of it has hidden mechanism that resemble a push of button, these scrolls used a mechanical activation system — a simple button press. This innovation meant civilians could use them just as easily as shinobi.

The healing scroll was already a must-have, but these other two products could completely change daily life in Konoha.

---The Staff Division---

Running a store of this scale required careful planning. Raiken had thought ahead and divided the clan workforce into specialized groups.

One-third of the Uzumaki had been trained by Raiken personally to serve as clerks and cashiers. These were the people who would interact with customers directly, explain the products, and handle transactions. Customer service was a top priority — Raiken wanted the Uzumaki Scroll Shop to have a reputation for being not only innovative but also pleasant to visit.

The second part of his plan involved forging stronger bonds with the Uchiha. The first batch of Uchiha clan members who had married into the Uzumaki clan had been offered positions at the shop. For them, this was a rare opportunity not only did they get their regular salary from the Military Police Force, but Raiken also offered them extra pay for their work at the shop.

Initially, Raiken had promised them a salary equivalent to that of a chūnin. But he sweetened the deal — if sales exceeded expectations, their pay would be raised to match that of a jōnin. That kind of earning potential was hard to ignore, especially for those who wanted to support their families better.

However, there was one condition. While they were still employed with the Military Police, they had to fulfill their daily duty there, a short 15-minute shift, before reporting to the Uzumaki Scroll Shop.

This is because Raiken are afraid Hokage would find the mistake among Uchiha and cut their Salary.

"I need to make sure at least they work 15 minutes a day on Police Force, either they come as a cleaner or sorting files," said Raiken.

"Why?" asked Uchiha Yashiro.

"Because, at least if Hokage conduct investigation we can prove that they are working there," answered Raiken.

"Okay Raiken, we will follow your suggestion," answered Hikaku.

For the opening week, though, Raiken decided to keep things simple. The Uchiha employees were placed on reserve, to be called in later if the workload became too overwhelming.

But Raiken had planned for them to take a break for one or two week. Before they are called to work, this is important so people will come first to this shop. Uchiha reputation is not really good, he wanted the best first impression.

He also had calculated the possiblity dragged it to 3 months, because 3 months later they will hire civillian to become part of Konoha Military Police Force.

Meanwhile, the other two-thirds of the clan were focused on production. Those with the most skilled fuinjutsu worked on the high-grade level 3 healing scrolls, while members who were less experienced concentrated on producing the Fire Stove Scrolls. This division ensured a steady supply of both products without compromising quality.

Inside the workshop, the atmosphere was intense but full of excitement. Tables were lined with blank scrolls, stacks of sealing ink jars, and brushes of all sizes. The air was thick with the scent of ink and parchment, and the quiet rustle of paper mixing with the soft hum of clan members chanting sealing formulas under their breath.

Every member of the clan understood the importance of this day. This wasn't just about making money, it was about proving the Uzumaki Clan strength and value to Konoha. Their village had been destroyed and this is their new home, with Raiken's leadership, they had a chance to rise higher than ever before.

In just a few minutes, the doors would open. And when they did, the Uzumaki Clan would step into a new chapter, becoming a merchant, one that might very well shape the future of Konoha itself.
