Chapter 33: First Day Sales

The impact of marketing a week in advance was truly astonishing.

It was not even noon, yet every scroll that had been stocked had already sold out. The profits were immense, and it was not only Raiken's subordinates who were shocked—Raiken himself was equally surprised.

"Master, the total amount we sold today is 20 million ryō," said Arata.

"Even the level 3 healing scrolls are sold out?" asked Raiken.

"Yes, Master," replied Arata.

"Hahahahahahaha!" Raiken laughed heartily. "I expected the other scrolls might sell out, but even the level 3 healing scrolls? How many of those did we prepare?"

"We had 215 level 3 scrolls, but we lack the manpower to make more. The chakra consumption is too high," said Arata.

"Did the people complain about the price?" asked Raiken.

"At first, they did not complain, but after we demonstrated the first, second, and third levels of healing, some of them grumbled. Still, they bought them— even merchants who were not shinobi purchased without hesitation," replied Arata.

"You all did a good job," said Raiken.

After feeling satisfied he then returned home.

[DING! The donation accumulated reached 1 million stars]

When Raiken saw the glowing notification from the livestream system, a grin instantly spread across his face. One million stars, a number he'd been aiming for ever since he manage to upgrade his system livestream to level 3, now he need to earn 2 million more to upgrade to level 4.

With this much, he could buy plenty of points for upgrades, resources, or even special item to increase his strength.

However, his joy lasted only a few seconds, because he cannot use the point to buy anything yet. Once, he used either point, a skill, or item the price in his account would increased.

Raiken is not stupid, how can a price still stay the same when your level have become higher. Luckily the developer and system didn't notice he tried to use the loophole yet, he never mentioned it and always busy himself with the work at clan or creating new fuinjutsu.

Scrolling through the system log, he noticed that eventhough the subscriber has increased but the donation has reduced a lot.

He didn't know why it happen until he found that the previous donater had actually become paid membership on his channel.

At first, he was happy when he manage to level up to "Level 3". The system explained that this new tier allowed him to open membership subscriptions for his subscriber. It was a prestige feature, members could receive special badges, limited comment daily on his livestream, and other perks. On paper, it sounded like a stable way to generate income over time.

But there was a catch.

Ever since the membership system went live, the number of direct donations had dropped sharply. The wealthy patrons, the ones who used to throw massive amounts of money at him during his streams, had purchased memberships instead. Once they had access to comment on livestream, they seemed far less inclined to keep donating large sums.

Raiken sat back, rubbing his forehead in frustration.

He wanted to curse. He wanted to yell at the system. He wanted to find whoever came up with this "membership" idea and toss them into a pit of snakes. It was true, memberships could bring steady income in the long run. But the big, one-time donations were the most important right now, he didn't know when the next war will happen.

"It's my fault…" he muttered. "I opened the membership too soon."

Luckily he had turn off the system, otherwise the fan might unsubscribe his channel and called him ungrateful.

Now, he had to think strategically. The only way to recover was to attract fresh, wealthy fans, the kind of viewers who were willing to spend recklessly just to see him doing something on this channel.

---Konoha Reaction---

The Uzumaki Scroll Shop had taken the village by storm. Civilians swarmed the store early in the morning, buying a single Level 1 Healing Scroll for emergencies and a Fire Stove Scroll for daily use.

The shinobi client were different. After a few demonstrations, most realized that the Level 2 Healing Scroll gave the best balance between price and usefulness, making it a must-have for standard missions. Only those engaged in the most dangerous assignments such as A-rank and S-rank missions, were willing to pay for the precious Level 3 Healing Scroll, knowing it could mean the difference in survival.

While the healing scrolls were the main attraction, something unexpected happened. Many customers who came for one thing ended up leaving with multiple other scrolls, thanks to the shop warm, welcoming staff.

Most of the cashier is a woman and they had been thought by Raiken to greet customer and explain each product.

At first they are quite angry when they noticed that they are 3 level of healing. But then they still leave the shop with at least 1 scroll of healing.

The Fire Stove Scroll, in particular, was a sensation among housewives. No longer did they need to chop firewood or choke on smoke while cooking. A single slip of sealing paper could produce a clean, steady blue flame.

Not only was the blue fire aesthetically pleasing, but it also cooked food faster. With no soot or smoke, the air in the home stayed fresh, which improved the mood of housewives and the result is the food become more delicious. Word of mouth spread quickly, and even shinobi started buying them for use on long missions, finding them far more convenient than traditional campfires.

---Hokage Reaction---

"Hokage-sama, this was purchased from the Uzumaki Scroll Shop," reported an ANBU shinobi, placing several neatly wrapped scrolls on the desk.

Hiruzen Sarutobi raised an eyebrow, picking up one of the slips of paper. "What is this?"

"It's called a Fire Stove Scroll. It completely replaces firewood," the ANBU explained. "No smoke, no soot, and it burns hotter than a normal flame. The civilians especially housewives were very happy and bought a lot.

Hiruzen studied it with a thoughtful look. "The Uzumaki clan… I didn't wrongfully choose to let them stay here."

The other people who heard this nodded thoughtfully at Hokage, little did they know the reason Uzumaki Clan stay in Konoha was not because Uzumaki was forced to flee to Konoha. But it was because Hiruzen who begged with Uzumaki Clan to stay here and even willing to give them many benefit.

---Madara Reaction---

Deep in the bunker, White Zetsu reported on everyday news about Konoha especially regarding Uzumaki Clan.

"The Uzumaki clan has settled in Konoha. Their leader has opened a fuinjutsu shop that's drawing attention from every corner of the village. Not only that, he is also engaged to the granddaughter of the Uchiha clan. Not just him, even the other people have started intermarrying between two clan. Many Uzumaki women, especially widows and young girls, have begun marrying into the Uchiha as well."

Madara eyes narrowed slightly. "Hmph. The Uzumaki binding themselves to the Uchiha"

He looks down on people who use marriage to strengthen alliance. "Do you know why Uzumaki Clan wanted to get married with Uchiha Clan, as far as I know their clan are too proud to marry with Uchiha Clan and how can Uchiha Clan are also willing to welcome Uzumaki Clan."

White Zetsu tilted his head. "Raiken, the new young clan leader from Uzumaki Clan believed by combining two bloodline, Uchiha and Uzumaki Clan will become much stronger."

Madara smirked faintly. "Hahahahahaha.... Zetsu I think we need new plan... we might have new Rinegan user born from them... I can keep my eyes safely while using their eyes to complete my plan."
