Chapter 84: Nobles Meeting

The joint operation between the Uchiha and Uzumaki Clans had achieved far greater success than anyone had expected. Within only a few months, dozens of brothels and illegal casinos were forced to shut down.

Thanks to the improved reputation of the newly reformed Konoha Military Police Force, they could now handle evidence and operations more effectively without facing the same backlash as before. What had once been a thriving underground network of corruption was now collapsing under the coordinated strength of two powerful clans who refused to remain silent any longer.

From the Uchiha side, the reformed Konoha Military Police Force was divided into two main divisions. The first division consisted of a mix of various clan members and civilians, while the second division was composed mainly of Uchiha and Uzumaki shinobi.

The second division operations were far from ordinary. It functioned much like the Anbu, but within the Police Force itself. Most officers in the first division had no idea of the second division existence, believing that everyone shared the same responsibilities. Only the most trusted individuals within the clans were chosen to join this secret division. Their mission was clear but dangerous, to hunt down predators who targeted women, track potential victims, and dismantle every human trafficking ring they could find.

Their work was carried out in secrecy, using intelligence gathered from both sides. The Uzumaki contributed through their merchant network, quietly gathering information, while the Uchiha handled direct operations and arrests. Every missing-person report was reviewed carefully, and every suspicious noble or merchant was placed under discreet surveillance. When the time came to act, the police moved swiftly and silently, ensuring that justice was served before the guilty could even react.

Within weeks, several trafficking routes were exposed and destroyed. Families who had long lost hope began to see their loved ones return home, rescued from the depths of despair. The criminals who had once acted with arrogance and impunity now faced swift punishment at the hands of the Konoha Military Police Force.

This new wave of justice changed how the people viewed the Police Force entirely. For the first time in years, the citizens of Konoha no longer saw the Uchiha as oppressors but as true protectors of the village. Their efforts brought back a sense of safety that had long been missing from Konoha streets.

The absence of Danzo made everything far easier. Without his manipulative influence working in the shadows, the Police Force could finally operate freely, unbound by political schemes and hidden agendas. For once, both clans could extend their wings without fear of interference, working not for personal gain, but for the peace and justice Konoha truly needed.

---Daimyo---

Inside the grand castle in the Land of Fire, the Daimyo sat surrounded by his advisors, nobles, and several high-ranking officials who were discussing something important. The tension in the hall was so thick that even the servants stationed by the doors dared not move.

Before this day, those same nobles had sent multiple letters begging the Daimyo to take action regarding the Fire Stove Scroll. After days of negotiation and correspondence with Hiruzen and the Uzumaki Clan, Raiken had finally agreed to let them purchase the scrolls at a cheaper rate and resell them for profit. It was a compromise meant to ease tensions.

However, no one had predicted how quickly this new product would upend their world. Within months, the entire coal market collapsed. People no longer bought coal or firewood, they simply used the Fire Stove Scroll to heat their homes. The once-booming coal merchants, who had dominated the market for generations, were now penniless.

And just as the nobles began to adapt to this change, another catastrophe struck.

A new wave of bankruptcy hit, this time among the wealthy elites who owned casinos, brothels, and wineries. After brief investigation, the culprit once again pointed toward the Uzumaki Clan. Their latest creation, the Nerve Gear Sealing Scroll, had swept through the population like wildfire. Those who once wasted money in gambling dens or brothels now spent their days immersed in illusionary worlds of comfort and pleasure, all created by Uzumaki fuinjutsu.

"The nerve gear scrolls are destroying us," cried one of the nobles, clutching his forehead. "Even my brother theater closed last week! The actors have no audience, the musicians have no listeners, and the drink sellers, they're bankrupt!"

Another noble slammed his fist against the table, his face red with anger. "Our regular customers, the drunks, the gamblers, the pleasure-seekers, they've all vanished! Instead of coming to us, they crawl into Uzumaki shops and pay for their damned dreams!"

To make matters worse, their prostitute had gone missing. The manager on that brothel told that somehow they believe that they are being instructed to sell those people.

Now they don't know where that woman has been gone and not just that they can't buy a woman from slave trader or trap a family in gambling debt. Some people said because some vigilante had killed them. Whatever the truth, one thing was certain, the nobles could no longer buy or traffic women through the usual slave traders. Those traders, too, had disappeared.

Now, all of them stood before the Fire Daimyo, furious and desperate for help.

"Uzumaki," muttered one of the older nobles, slamming a report on the table so hard that ink splattered across the surface. "That accursed clan inventions have destroyed the entire coal and stove industry. Our merchants are going bankrupt one after another and now they dare touch our casinos and brothels!"

Another noble stepped forward, his tone trembling with both fear and frustration. "And if that was not enough, the Nerve Gear Scroll has taken over the entertainment market! The people no longer visit our theaters, nor buy from our performers. They simply use that scroll and lose themselves in illusions more vivid than reality!"

The Daimyo leaned back in his seat, his sharp eyes scanning the room filled with trembling nobles. "So," he said slowly, his voice calm yet cutting, "you mean to tell me that two sealing scrolls created by a single clan have managed to cripple half of the noble families in my land?"

No one dared to speak. The only sound was the faint rustle of silk robes and the flicker of torches burning along the walls.

The Daimyo began tapping his fingers against the armrest, deep in thought. He had already dealt with the issue of the Fire Stove Scroll. Though the profits from coal had dropped, the new trade still brought some balance to the economy. But now, the Nerve Gear Scroll had shifted the entire economy in the Land of Fire.

He had heard rumors of how people lay on chakra-linked platforms and entered dream worlds where time moved differently. Addicts stopped drinking. Troublemakers stopped gambling. Even those who once wasted away in brothels were now living peacefully, finding new hobbies and work.

To the common folk, these scrolls were a blessing. They made life easier, safer, and more fulfilling. But in the eyes of the nobility, they were economic disasters.
