Chapter 85: War Need To Happen
The Fire Daimyo sat in his private chamber long after the meeting with his nobles had ended. His advisors stood nearby, hesitant to speak yet unable to hide the worry etched across their faces.
Before the nobles came today, the reports about the Uzumaki Clan had piled upon Daimyo desk, each one wrote the same problem which is their business almost bankrupt or the sales went down because of Uzumaki Clan.
But what can they do?
Konoha and Uzumaki Clan had wrote an agreement that Uzumaki have rights to establish a business especially in Konoha and the worst thing because of the agreement it indirectly acknowledge Uzumaki Clan in all the land of fire.
They are some people who try to plagiarize them but Uzumaki Clan sealing techniques were more advance than what they know, so every product have better quality than their plagiarize inferior product , Uzumaki growth at a rate far beyond they've expected. Their influence was spreading not only through markets but also through the hearts of the people. Even the commoners had begun turning toward the Uzumaki for solutions, for work, and even for entertainment.
The Daimyo exhaled sharply.
"They are growing too powerful," he finally muttered, eyes narrowing. "If this continues, the balance that keeps this nation stable will collapse."
His chief advisor stepped forward, before speaking. "My lord, the Uzumaki Clan innovations have already reshaped the economy. Fire Stove Scrolls destroyed the coal industry. Nerve Gear Scrolls have crippled the entertainment sector, along with casinos and brothels owned by nobles. Their reach is no longer that of a mere shinobi clan. If they continue unhindered, they may become an independent force capable of rivaling even the Daimyo's authority."
The Daimyo hand tightened on the armrest. He had suspected this, but hearing it voiced aloud made the threat feel far more real.
Another advisor joined in, his tone grim. "If left unchecked, the Uzumaki influence over the Land of Fire will grow until even the court must bend to them. Their wealth is expanding faster than any noble estate. Their connection with the Uchiha Clan has strengthened Konoha Military Police. And with Danzo gone, there are fewer factions inside the village working to limit shinobi power."
The Daimyo's expression hardened. He understood the truth that many in the palace whispered but never dared to say openly, the shinobi villages had grown too stable, too united, too strong.
In the Warring States Era, such balance did not exist. When any one clan became too powerful, rivals would hire mercenaries or opposing clans to suppress them. Even the Chinoike Clan, once feared for their dojutsu, was driven into the Valley of Hell after the late daimyo wife hired the Uchiha Clan. Back then, conflict kept the shinobi population in check and ensured that no single clan ever threatened the Daimyo rule.
But now the world had changed.
The Five Great Villages had been formed. Alliances had grown stronger. And decades of relative peace had allowed shinobi numbers to flourish. Villages had become more politically influential, while the Daimyo linem, once unquestioned found itself overshadowed by the military strength of their own protectors.
"War…" The Daimyo whispered the word as if tasting poison. "Is this the only method left to restore balance?"
His advisor hesitated, then said. "My lord, the other Daimyo in nearby nations have expressed similar concerns. Their villages have also grown powerful, and political authority has begun to shift toward the shinobi. Several lands are quietly preparing for conflict. If the Land of Fire ignores the situation, we risk becoming the only nation unable to control our own village."
The Daimyo closed his eyes, feeling the weight of centuries of tradition pressing upon his shoulders.
A war would cost lives, too many lives. It would drain coffers and bring chaos to the people. But a world where ninja grew unchecked was equally dangerous. Villages could eventually govern themselves entirely, rendering the Daimyo little more than ceremonial figures.
The rise of the Uzumaki Clan had simply accelerated what the court feared most: a future where shinobi no longer needed a Daimyo at all.
He opened his eyes, now colder than before.
"Begin drafting the plans," he ordered quietly. "If a great war is unavoidable, then the Land of Fire must not be unprepared. The Uzumaki Clan must be restrained. And if the ninja population across the nations must be culled to restore balance… then that is the price of order."
His advisors nodded, their expressions grim. They knew what such a decision meant. In the coming weeks, diplomatic messages would be exchanged so the ninja would fight each other.

Tsunade looked at the winery and casino who had been closed, she had noticed when she came here few weeks ago that there are fewer customer who visited this place but then now the shop has been closed and new shop are open in the same spot.
She had originally come here to relieve some stress. Maybe play a few rounds at the casino, maybe buy a few bottles of wine to bring back to her room. But everywhere she looked, the doors were shut and no one come to this place anymore
"What happened here? Why are all of them closed?" Tsunade muttered, frowning deeply.
After walking for several minutes, she arrived at the very last winery that still opened and ran their business. The door creaked when she pushed it open, and a single staff member behind the counter looked up in surprise. The moment he recognized her, he straightened his posture nervously.
"Why are the wineries and casinos suddenly shutting down? Is something going on?" Tsunade asked.
The staff hesitated at first but eventually sighed. "Lady Tsunade… it's because of the Uzumaki Clan. Their new product has made most of our old customers stop gambling and drinking entirely. Business dropped so fast that most shops couldn't survive."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "Uzumaki Clan?"
She knew about the Fire Stove Scroll, the Nerve Gear Scroll and several other inventions that had shaken the market. But to think their creations were strong enough to bankrupt casinos and wineries… even she found that surprising.
"For such a small scroll to shut down entire businesses," she muttered, "that's… unbelievable."
