I was still gawking at the handsome guy that just walked in, not noticing that the doctor and nurses were out already. He walked close to me in measured steps, and stopped at my front, but my eyes never left his face.
" If you keep looking like that I think your eyes might get injured without blinking them." He said and that was when I lowered my face in embarrassment. Gosh I looked too much that I forgot to even blink my eyes. What was wrong with me.
" How are you feeling now? you have been in comma for two weeks now. Do you remember what happened to you?" He said. Gosh, I love the sound of his voice, it was pleasing to hear. I noded my head in response to his question.
" Yes I remembered what happened" I still didn't raise my head cause I was still embarrassed and flushing red.
" The doctor said you were the one that brought me to this hospital. Thanks for saving me that day I appreciate." I said in a low voice but he could hear it. He brought out his hand from his pocket and raised my face up, holding my chin. When I looked up, our eyes didn't lock because he was looking at my face as if checking something.
when he was done checking, he dropped his hand and stepped back.
" When did you wake up?" He asked.
" Few minutes ago, before you came in" I said in response.
"Good I will be leaving, I will send someone to give you cloths and food, you can rest for a while." With that he was about to step out if the ward, I called his name , and he looked back and stopped in his track.
" I can't find my purse" I said since he rescued me, I thought he knew where my purse was.
" It's at the table beside you, anything else?"
" No I think I'm fine " With that he walked out of the room. Maybe he wasn't suprised how I got to know his name, or maybe he didn't think much about it.
I looked at the table beside me and saw my purse. I took it and opened it, I saw everything was still intact and nothing was tampered with, I took a breath of relief.
I dropped the purse when the door opened again. A young lady walked in with a bag, while another lady walked in too with a tray filled with different plate of food. When they got close to me, I greeted both of them,. but they just bowed their head as if I was their boss. Wired, they walked out without doing anything and wasting time. I was now left alone in the ward.
What did they bring Inside. I checked the first bag and realized it was some set of cloths, and underwears. I opened the food that was covered on the tray and behold it was my favorite delicacy, my favorite dish. I immediately closed it and walked towards the bathroom to brush my teeth with the toothbrush I saw in the bag, I took one gown from the bag and rushed towards the bathroom to have some refreshing bath and clean up.
When I was done bathing, I sat on the sofa and Drew the tray close to me so I could eat. I was starving seriously. Then I immediately remembered my friend Jassy. I made a mental note to call her when I'm done with the food.
Few minutes later, I was done with the food, and I shocked to see that I finished everything. Gosh, I eat like a pig. well maybe because I haven't eaten anything for two weeks now. I immediately took my phone from the purse on the table and dialed Grace's number. Before it rang, i could hear sound of the door being opened. As I looked back, I saw the face of the person I was just calling.
Grace was already here. Gosh, she Ra n towards me and gave me a hug. She was sobbing and I knew why. Well nobody would be in a comma for two weeks and your close ones won't be worried to death. I patted her back to sooth her but the hug became more tight.
" Hey you will kill me with your bare hand" I said chocking. The word made the magic, I was immediately freed from her hug. I gasped for air immediately.
" What the hell happened to you" She said cleaning her tears.
" I was beaten up by some useless thugs and they tried to molest me." I said " I didn't remember anything else that happened again" I added holding her hand.
" The guy who saved your ass, do you know him?" She asked not sobbing again.
" Well no I don't even know him, like I haven't seen him before." I said to her. " but I'm really grateful that he saved me." what would my parents do if they noticed that I was molested. Did you tell them that I was in the hospital?" I asked with widened eyes. I relaxed when grace shook her head negatively.
" well I'm happy that you are safe now, life is more important than anything else." she said rubbing my cheek. " I thought the doctor was lying when he said you were awake, that you woke up some an hour ago, I didn't believe until I saw your call, I rushed down here immediately in so happy."
We chatted for some while before the doctor and two nurses came inside to check on me. They injected me with a fluid and it made me to sleep some minutes later. I was at ease because Grace told me that she was going nowhere else that day. so I slept well and peacefully like a child.
All I wanted was to wake up and recover quickly so I could get out of this hospital, it's already boring staying there. the only person that made this place looked more lively was my best friend.
I want to go home but everything will be settled when I wake up.
