Synopsis
This story narrates about certain individuals - called Ars Goetians, a people, who got a talent to exist inside the world of dreams and use supernatural powers that work only in Dreamworld. Using them can affect the real world at some point, but not supernaturally, meaning that Ars Goetians cannot use their powers in reality, but it affects them greatly in the real world. The circumstances of this story take us to a world that looks just like our own, specifically to an international university in "Ryoto" - a fictional Japanese city that is second only to Tokyo. At some crucial moment, strange events started to happen. People start to disappear all around the country, some are losing their memories or turning against one another. A young Ars Goetian named Akira Yamauchi is trying to investigate what is the cause of these events. Akira studies at an international university during the day and enters the Dreamscape at night. He's fighting his way to learn the truth about his powers, himself, and how to summon powerful demons, gods, and heroes to fight beside him in a dreamworld. He is trying to oppose his father, who works as a politician and also being very skillful Ars Goetian. In a Dream reality called - Dreamscape, he and his father have a goal - find a legendary - lesser key of Solomon. This certain key exists only in the dreamworld and can open the gates of "Haven" and lead a person to a "Promised Land" to obtain infinite luck, wealth, and power in the real world. Akira himself believes that by opening the gates to the promised land, he can find the spirit of his dead mother.

Chapter 1 - Castle in the Clouds

Mother: "Follow the infinite power of the dreams, my son".

Blinded by the doorway's light, Akira couldn't make out the person standing at their family home's doorstep. A vision showed him his mother. She had a slim figure and long dark hair that blew in the wind on warm summer days. She always smiled and laughed in his memories... And after a while, a vision consumed her again.

Everybody, at some point, experiences a dream in their lifetime, if they live long enough, even to see dreams. Some people tell stories about black-and-white dreams, nightmares, peaceful landscapes, or even another reality that they saw in the world of dreams called - Dreamscape. All of it, one way or another, can have a certain meaning in the mind of one person. Why did somebody see dead people in their dreams, or else why do people have dreams in the first place? Akira long ago asked himself the same questions.

Akira: "Funny how even scientists are still trying to figure out what dreams are supposed to be?"

It was not only a vision of his mother that haunted him all these years, but also a figure of his father. A tall person with a grim face and short hair, who looked more like a "special agent" of some sort. Right after the light devoured his mother's figure, a tyrannical force of nature pulled him out of the house. His father was standing in front of a gigantic black mountain with an ice cap on its top. He was smoking and looking at the storm behind the mountain.

Akira could feel the difference between the visions of his mother and father in his head, one vision being filled with harmony, and the other with discord.

In the end, another last vision pulled him once again, after a picture of his father's face being taken by a stroke of lightning.

After a flash of light, he was standing on something soft, dressed in his black clothes, the same color as his slightly long straight-looking hair. Akira looked just like his father when he was younger, aside from the parts of his face that he inherited from his mother. He was holding his hand on his dark uchigatana sword called - Black Razor the Third. Akira does not expect any danger coming from these old visions, yet it is possible that the nightmares of Dreamscape can find him here in his pocket plane.

It was a castle in the clouds.

The most ordinary - castle in the clouds, or to put it simply - stereotypically BORING castle in the clouds.

Akira: "Do you always need to be here to shame me, Merlina?"

The vision became clearer and clearer, and above all else, a stereotypical castle with towers on it also got surrounded by a couple of BALLOONS around it!

Akira: "Merlina.."

Merlina: "Ok, ok, I stop it right here".

Akira: "You are disrupting my pocket plane anchor cat...".

Merlina: "Oh, is that so? Can this "bore" castle be even MORE BORING, HUH?! But ok, say - I understand the MEANING of the castle - like... It is supposed to be our fortress and all, but why balloons are supposed to be here? A complete disaster!!"

Akira was standing on the cloud right before the castle, looking at it with his hands crossed.

Akira: "It looks like a picture from my childhood that Mom and I liked. The question is, if you don't like my BORING castle, why do you always take the shape of a white cat? Isn't it BORING as well?"

In her cat form, Merlina started to spin.

Merlina: "Look - smarty eyes, I - the GREAT MERLINA! Magician virtuoso! Magetress extraordinaire! And THE greatest seer of all time! As well as your "adviser", can take many forms! By choosing this one, I choose the MOST, what suits me, capiche?!"

Akira: "What are you..."

The white cat jumps on his shoulder.

Merlina: "Say what you like, my aPURRentice! But you cannot escape my ideal - sense of taste if we EVER need a castle - we need to have a different one in the future and..."

She paused:

Merlina: "Hey! You cannot take my word away from me.."

The Dreamscape collapsed, and Akira finally woke up in his bed. It was early morning.

The alarm clock on his phone was ringing loudly.

Merlina: "If you think you can escape me in the real world, think again! I am going with you today, and you cannot stop me!"

Akira took his phone to make the hellish ringing stop.

He sighs:

Akira: "What a "great" day is going to be ahead of me today"

Merlina: "We're going to school now, boy, Yahoo!"

Akira: "Firstly... It is - a university, not a school, secondly... Do you seriously think I'm going to take you with me?"

Merlina: "Hey, you are..."

They kept talking while Akira was gathering his things.
