Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

According to the story he remembered, he wasn't supposed to meet his dream girl, Shimizu Kiyoko til high school.

But the system's sudden mission made Jin's heart leap. The target location was just one kilometer away. At his speed, it would only take a few minutes.

"System prompt: Target is moving. Direction, front left. Speed increasing."

"Huh? The target's still moving?" Jin muttered.

The changing route, the steady forward pace, everything pointed to one thing, Kiyoko was running.

Jin accelerated, and within two minutes, he spotted her at a small intersection. She was in casual clothes, hair flowing behind her, black-framed glasses on her face, carrying a shopping bag in one hand and a volleyball tucked under the other arm.

Her calm aura was unmistakable, and the little beauty mark near her mouth only added to her charm. Even in plain clothes, she was striking.

Jin's heart skipped a beat. 'Absolute wife material.'

But Kiyoko didn't stop running. She was shouting. "Stop! Thief!"

Up ahead, a bearded man in his thirties clutched a stolen bag and sprinted desperately.

"A robber!" Jin realized instantly.

He didn't hesitate, he sprinted forward.

The light rail crossing ahead rang with warning bells. If the man crossed there, even Jin would struggle to catch up.

"Kiyoko-san! Throw me the ball!" Jin shouted.

"The ball…?" She was stunned hearing her name for a moment, but when she saw his hand raised, she understood.

She tossed the volleyball up lightly. As Karasuno's manager, her throw was steady and precise.

"Watch my special, Flying Spike!" Jin shouted, charging three steps and launching himself into the air.

For an instant, his figure blocked the sunlight, catching Kiyoko's breath.

"So high…" she whispered, eyes wide.

*Boom!*

The volleyball rocketed forward, slamming into the back of the robber's head. He toppled forward, crashing to the ground just before the crossing.

Jin landed, twisting smoothly to control his momentum, then dashed forward, grabbed the stolen bag from the dazed man, and exhaled in relief.

"Here, Kiyoko-san, I got it back for you."

Kiyoko caught up, panting. "That belongs to an old lady back there. Thank you, I'll return it right away."

Just as she reached for the bag, a thick hand snatched it from Jin's grasp.

"Useless fool, making us come clean up your mess." A fat thug appeared, sneering, while another skinny man with glasses hovered behind him.

The first robber groaned, clutching his head as he stood up. Seeing Jin, a mere middle schooler, his face twisted with rage. He lunged, grabbing for Jin's collar.

But Jin slipped back smoothly, pulling Kiyoko behind him.

The narrow street was littered with junk, clearly a place few people passed through. The fat man circled to block their retreat, while the man with glasses adjusted his frames with a smirk.

Clearly, these three were together.

Before Jin could speak, Kiyoko stepped forward. She raised her arm in front of him protectively. "This isn't his problem. I've been chasing you. If something's coming, it's coming to me."

Her words were firm and strong. Jin's chest tightened. 'She's amazing…'

The glasses man chuckled darkly. "Heh… if you take off those clothes and let us 'inspect' a little, we'll let the kid go."
