Chapter 993 - Chapter 990 Rex's thoughts

In the mind of Rex

A battlefield where Shadow People would win the War was taking place. His wives lost and being destroyed in front of him. Tears fell as they could no longer hold on.

Rex mustering all the strength he could to fight back but to no avail. Even hearing the voices calling out to him weakly but not having the strength to protect them.

He tried as hard as he could to fight back. Nothing working to be able to fight back. Each strike either bounced, hurt him worst, or even just plainly missed. This infuriated him to the point that his Demon King of Annihilation form came out and started to fight.

The damage was real now. His wives barely breathing but still dying in his arms. He used his Qi to flip the Ninth Realm on top of the Shadow People. Melting their insides and completely destroying everything that he had worked for.

His wives still barely breathing got elixirs poured over their wounds. It helped slightly but the damage was too much. Even then he could not help but roar in agony.

Their words tried to calm him down. He could not. Currently only Lilith was the best conditioned wife. Even then, she may not live past the end of the week as she currently is.

The others were gathered around him gently smiling. Rain began to fall and he felt that the Realms themselves were crying. As he looked around. Their wounds recovered graciously and their complexion greatly improved.

He smiled as he began to hug his wives. Tears of joy fell down, only to realize that he had now woken up hugging the Queen tightly in her chamber.

He was embarrassed because he had held unto her very tightly. He did not know what to think at this moment in time.

"I did not know that the kiss would trigger such a destructive side of you. Although, I too was hurt in the process it was nothing that you went through. I hope you will accept my apologies for that." She told him.

Rex began to question if he truly transformed into the Demon King of Annihilation because of the kiss. Was it true that he could not handle the War properly even with the advancements in the Realm?

Did he truly have to train hard using the sword and spear?

Did having their smiling faces as the rain pelted them truly heal them?

What about even the safest of methods of fighting?

Could he truly awaken what he needed to and prevent those who needed his protection to be hurt in his rampage?

As he began to think hard, the Shadow King came in. It looked like his right arm was completely gone. Instead he had overused his right arm and now it was regenerating slowly but it would.

"Hey, I am glad to see you have awoken up from that nightmare." The Shadow King gleaned with joy.

He sat down next to him. Although his body ached from the fight. He could still relax in certain positions.

"How long was I in that poisoned kiss?" Rex asked.

"Thirty minutes of pure terror in that fight. Twenty minutes on the ground struggling to be contained. Forty minutes resting in the bed.

Somehow, you bent over and that allowed us to try and completely get you bound on the ground. Granted, the ropes shredded upon you just flexing on us. However though, the grandest moment was when you and my wife suddenly locked eyes.

In that moment, you truly calmed down. As if whatever had occurred it helped with her looking you in the eyes. We no longer tried to restrain you but led you here with her. Where she attempted to cool you off with towels but they burnt up instantly." The Shadow King finished.

"The rain I saw there was you trying to cool me off. I guess once I had completely flipped the Ninth Realm on itself. My wives would looked at me were the eyes of you.

I take it that the Shadow People who angered me were you all trying to stall me. How was I even stopped by such tactics?" Rex asked.

The duo froze. To know that even in his nightmare, he could still know understand what happened based on the events of the real life. They could not even describe the feeling of this.

"You mean that through the events of what we described. You were completely able to understand the nightmare you went through. That is some scary stuff dude." The Shadow King praised but inwardly he was truly scared.

"I believe that this calls for a relaxation with no one attempting anything. Be sure to relax, and by that no fighting whatsoever." The Queen berated.

The duo smiled at the Queen and decided to relax. The duo helped Rex into a proper bedroom. Although the Royal Knight and his maids were upset. They understood that he needed true relaxation once the Queen explained the situation.
