Having been poisoned so much, Rex finally felt alive without the smell or mention of poisoning going on.
He looked to the ceiling and could imagine the town being stronger thanks to his tiger trying to force them.
Deep down, he knew that something had to change. He could not keep forcing them to work together. He did not know that his dragon also helped them see the future is endless.
Even with beasts that roam the earth, their are also beasts that roam the skies. It would not matter what happens if they cannot protect themselves.
As Rex stared at the ceiling, the Shadow Queen entered the room. She looked too cute in actually clothing handed to her by Rex.
"This feels absolutely uncomfortable but at the same time it is easy to move in."
She was wearing a robe that signified that she was a cultivator in the Eighth Realm. The robe was actually quite girly even for the Eighth Realm.
The Demon God was finally able to communicate with Rex within the seal. Rex was surprised that this could happen.
"It was hard but I have finally gotten through." The Demon God told him.
Rex was happy to hear from him. He had not gotten a chance to thank him properly for the ability to teleport with the blessing.
"Before we continue though, the town within the Third Realm that you helped build. It has finally gotten a recognition within the Stairway of being a blessed town."
Rex heard that he was surprisingly shocked. It was hard to get the blessed town recognition. Even in the first playthrough most towns spoke of it but never could officially get it.
"Due to that, the Goddesses and I have decided to give you this." In front of Rex was a little lizard with huge eyes. "This is the lizard of the Demon Realm that should be growing to either help demons or keep them under control. With this new pet, the chances of you gaining it's favor is still extremely hard."
Rex was still reeling. He had not been a good Tamer. He looked at the lizard who seemed to understand that this was truly someone worthy of following.
"I am sorry, Demon God. I cannot accept this pet. I have not been a good tamer so far. I already have too much in my future to add another beast." Rex told him upset.
The Demon God looked at Rex. He knew that this was the truth. Hearing it and knowing it were completely different.
The lizard sensing that it would not be able to stay with Rex bit on the index finger of the left finger. The lizard got a lick of Rex's blood before it was handed back to the Demon God.
"Maybe one day we can properly raise it. Right now, I cannot." Rex spoke with a defeated face.
"It seems that we cannot truly keep him away from that place. However, I believe that you will see the creature before you know it." The Demon God seemed upset.
Inwardly, he knew that this was going to be situation. He was glad that the lizard seemed to like Rex. The bite on the index finger seemed to sealing fate of Rex.
The Demon God left with the lizard. The lizard seemed to be looking at the Demon God who placed him near the mansion of Lilith.
"You can either stay close to here or return to Rex."
The lizard could seem Rex around here. It decided to look around.
Meanwhile
"Alright. We have defended the town twice now. The people seemed to be much closer now." Isabelle spoke in the leader's meeting.
"Yeah but something still seems off." Lilith spoke up.
Everyone turned towards her.
She began to explain that the two attacks could not have been at a better time when the town was preparing for that type of attack.
The other leaders knew this too. Since Lilith wanted to bring it up, they allowed her to continue.
"The only thing we truly know. When Rex left, he either had this already planned or his beasts seemed to help plan this." Iris added in.
Even that was not properly true. She mentioned this because she knew how sneaky Rex could be when he truly wanted to.
"Do we want to believe that he was trying to help us or hurt us?" One of the demi-human's leader spoke.
"I believe that he wanted us to grow stronger. I do not believe that he wanted it to go like this." Amber spoke up.
Everyone looked at her.
"I also believe that his beasts went overboard with the order to get some beasts but sometimes going over the limit can be dangerous but here we were good." Margaret spoke up beside Amber.
As the discussion continued, the Demon God seemed to whisper to Lilith. Lilith excused herself for a minute.
She was outside the meeting room talking to the Demon God that the great lizard of the Demon Realm was now under Rex. She was not pleased.
When she learned that it was beside her mansion. She was furious. The Demon God seemed to laugh at her antics.
"Well, you can now talk to Rex within the seal. However, I believe that it will not stay open for long. Make sure that you make good use of it."
The Demon God left. Lilith was still furious however she walked back in. She began to use the same technique that the Demon God did to get Rex's attention.
"Hey Lilith, how is everything up there?" Rex asked curiously.
"The town has been attacked twice. Once due to beasts roaming with your tiger and another time with flying beasts roaming with a dragon." Lilith explained.
"DID ANYONE DIE?" Rex was truly worried.
"We had several injuries fortunately no deaths but a couple of the guards cannot protect the town anymore."
Rex was relieved. Seeing his actually reaction, Lilith could tell that Rex did have a little to play with it but probably not as much as he wanted it to.
