Gerard and the dwarves dismounted from their steeds after clearing the Cragmaw Mountain range. Kherim raised his hand to his forehead and peered into the valley of Dormant Earth.
"The earth elementals. They aren't here..." Kherim said.
"Is that weird?" Gerard asked.
"It must have something to do with us defeating the colossus."
*You mean me...*
"Well, that's good news. We don't have to wait until nightfall!"
Unbeknownst to them, energy pulsed through the valley, resonating with the primal essence of the Hammer of Keldor that Bherim carried. As they stepped deeper into the heart of the valley, a subtle shift in the air sent a shiver down their spines.
