I don't know why but me and Lucy were sharing a bed. The last thing I remembered was passing out after making two cherry blossom trees. I made those trees because, after me and Rain were done with the fields we walked past the nurse's office and Lucy passed out from overworking herself.
"I shouldn't be here. I'm not good at these types of situations". I thought to myself as I was trying to get out of bed.
But before I could get out of bed Lucy grabbed my wrist. I felt my heart drop in my chest, and I started to breathe heavily.
"D-did she wake up"? I asked myself as I started to turn towards Lucy.
Luckily, she still was asleep, but she wouldn't let go of my wrist. I was still weak from using all my energy on making the field and crops and the two cherry blossoms. But I knew I had to get out of this situation, so I gathered all my strength to get up. I finally got onto my knees and hands; I was right above Lucy looking down at her.
"Wow, I know I have seen Lucy a couple of times but she's absolutely beautiful now that I look at her closer". I thought to myself well looking down at her face.
I stopped there for a bit looking down at her face and noticing how beautiful she is. But I knew I had to get up, so I kept on going. Right as I was about to take my leg off the bed Lucy tightened her grip and swung her arm around my waist pulling me down to the bed by her side.
"W-what"!? I thought to myself as Lucy pulled me down to the bed.
Lucy wrapped both of her arms around me. Her head was pressing against my chest. My heart was pounding. She could probably hear my heartbeat. My breathing started to get heavier and heavier. I've never felt my heart pounding this fast, even if I'm facing a bunch of monsters or some titans. I've never felt this anxious before.
"I-I have never been this close to anybody before. Her body is pressings up against me it is to close. but luckily, we're both still wearing clothes. I can't imagine feeling her b-bare skin. I can't take this anymore". I thought to myself as my heart started to pound, I was getting so nervous I was shaking.
I'm starting to shake from being so nervous. In all of the life-or-death situations I've been in I have never felt this nervous. As my heart starts to be faster my breathing gets heavier. A glow came from Lucy's cheek. As Lucy's symbol started to glow, my heartbeat started to slow down. Her arms around me started to make me feel warm inside. I slowly started to calm down, as I did, I started to listen to her breathing. As I listened to her breathe, In, and out I started to match her breathing. It made me start to calm down.
"I know I should get up but it's so relaxing beside Lucy". I said to myself as my body started to relax.
I laid there for a while wrapped in Lucy's warmth as my eyelids started to get heavier making it harder to keep them open. I felt myself starting to doze off while listening to Lucy's soft breathing. Right as I was about to fall asleep, I heard a door open up. I tried to get up, but I was so tired I couldn't even open up my eyes.
"Oh, they're still asleep Maya". A little girl said while opening the door.
"Well, that's not too surprising Aaliyah. It has only been a couple of hours since the both of them passed out". Maya said as the door opened.
It was Aaliyah and Maya. I could kind of here what they were talking about, but I can't pick up much. But they left the room shortly after it seemed like they just came to check up on us. Shortly after they left, I fell asleep in the warm arms of Lucy.
"K-Kane". I heard a flustered voice say my name.
As I open my eyes, I see Lucy sitting above me with her hand over her mouth and her cheeks flushed red. I quickly set up by Lucy, but I did so too quickly make me go light-headed. As I was falling back down Lucy grabbed me, but I was too heavy for her, and I took her down with me. As me and Lucy fall back down on the bed, we are face to face with each other. We didn't do anything for a couple of seconds. Both of our faces were turning a deep red color as we laid there.
"I mmm don't really know what to say". Lucy said as we lay in the bed together.
"I don't know either". I said back to Lucy as my heart started to pound in my chest.
I didn't really know Lucy that much. I knew that she went to our school, and she was a pretty popular girl too. I also knew that her and my sister were in the same club, and they were friends, but these past few days were the first time I ever talked to her. I was getting extremely anxious, but I was still too exhausted from using so much energy.
"I'm sorry Kane, I'm too exhausted to move my body right now. can I stay like this for a little while"? Lucy asked me.
" Y-yes, I'm very exhausted t-too". I tried my best to say back to Lucy, but my voice kept on cracking.
We both lay there in the bed not trying to make eye contact with each other, so we don't get embarrassed. It was still extremely awkward. We were silent, we didn't talk for a while, and it made me even more nervous. My heartbeat started to go fast again, and I started to shake a little bit from how anxious I was.
"I-I need to come down, nothing's going to happen". I thought to myself while trying to calm down.
"Are you okay Kane you're shaking, are you cold"? Lucy asked me in a polite voice.
While Lucy asked me if I was okay, she put her hand on my arm. For some reason it didn't make me more nervous, it actually calmed me down a little bit.
"Oh, mmm yes sorry, I've just never been this close to someone before so I'm getting a little nervous that's all". I told Lucy as I started to calm down a little bit.
"You've never been this close to someone"? Lucy asked, and as she did, she got a Little closer to me.
"I see, well that's fine you don't have to be nervous I won't hurt you or will I". She said to me with a cheeky little laugh.
I was calming down more, and I started to feel warm and comfortable. I have felt this before back when I had that dream with mother nature. This is the feeling that I've been trying to show people this warmth and peace knowing that you'll be safe.
"Lucy, you're truly an amazing person". I accidentally said out loud.
"W-wh-what"? Lucy said with her cheeks turning a bright red.
I suddenly sat up and put my back against the wall. I was extremely flustered, and I didn't know what to say.
"I mmm I mea-". Before I could say anything, the door opened.
"Oh, you two are awake, you've been out for a couple of days now. Well, you two are probably hungry? So, I brought some food". Maya said while opening the door with two bowls of soup in her hand.
Lucy and I both became silent sitting on the bed with are faces bright red.
"Oh~, did I disturb something". Maya asked us with a cheeky smile.
"N-no, thanks for the food". I said Well I started to get out of the bed.
As I got out of the bed I looked back at Lucy. Her face was still bright red, probably from embarrassment. I went to go get the food for my sister while I looked into the bowl. It was a soup with the plants that mean Rain grew.
"How long was I out for"? I quickly asked my sister.
"You guys were out for a day and a half". Maya told us.
"What, I was asleep for so long I need to get up". Lucy said as she frequently tried to get up.
"Lucy your fine you don't have to get up so quickly, Kane made some cherry blossom trees for people to heal with. We've managed fine for right now. So, get a little more rest". Maya told Lucy as she went over to her to hand her the food.
I almost have all my energy back, so I decided once I was done eating, I was going to go help Rain again with crops. So, I started to eat the soup. It didn't taste that bad, at least good enough to eat. I quickly finished the bowl of soup as I did. I felt something furry touch my leg.
"Meow". It was Gaia rubbing against my leg
"Oh, hey there Gaia, how have you been"? I asked Gaia as I went down to pet her.
I picked Gaia up as I did, and I noticed Lucy looking at her.
"Gaia have you met Lucy"? I asked Gaia as I started walking closer to Lucy.
"Oh yeah Maya showed me Gaia when I was healing some people". Lucy told me.
"Would you like to hold her"? I asked Lucy.
"Can I"? Lucy asks.
"Yeah of course you can". I said to Lucy while I put Gaia in her lap.
"All right Gaia watch over Lucy for me until I get back". I told Gaia as I started to walk out the door.
"Where are you going Kane"? Maya asked me.
"I'm going to go meet up with Rain so we can make more crops". I told Maya.
"All right I'll take you to him, so wait up". Maya says that as she catches up to me at the door.
Me and Maya start to leave the room to go meet up with Rain.
"I'll ask you about what happened later ok Lucy". Maya said to Lucy as we were leaving the door, giving her a friendly wave.
We started heading down the hallways, I noticed that there weren't as many people laying on the ground this time. It was also livelier than before, now people are talking to each other and looking outside the windows.
"It looks a lot more likely here than usual". I said to my sister with a smile on my face.
"Yeah, thanks to your help. People have food to eat, and they also have those trees to get healed by, Aaliyah explained to us how to use them". She told me with a hope-filled face.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that". I said as we started walking past the nurse's office.
As we walked past the nurse's office, I noticed there were some people in there and they didn't look too good either.
"What's up with them"? I asked my sister as we walked past the nurse's office.
"Oh well those people are sick or recovering from severe injuries". Maya told me.
"I see my healing trees can't heal sicknesses and it uses your energy to heal so if you use it on severe injuries, it can take you a while to recover". I explained a little bit to Maya how the healing process works using the cherry trees.
As we were talking about how some of the healing stuff worked, we ended up out by the fields. I looked around and I noticed there were more people out here instead of it just being Rain. The twins were out here too Xena and Zion and a couple other people I haven't met yet. Well, I looked around and I noticed that most of the crops were gone, and I needed to make some more.
"Hey there, Rain I see you got some more people out here". I said to Rain as I started to walk up to him.
"H-hi there Kane, a-and Maya". Rain greeted me and Maya.
Rain seemed a little more comfortable being around people now, but he still was a little nervous around Maya.
"All right let's get back to work, it looks like we have to grow some more crops". I said while walking towards the fields getting ready to grow plenty of delicious food.
