Earth's surface really hadn't been affected, it was still the world where Tuba had lived for over a decade. Tuba and 005 told the same truth, which made Charles realize that the thing he had desperately sought all his life was right above him.
Compared to the perilous Earth Sea where humans could go extinct at any moment, the environment on the surface was like heaven.
Tuba looked at the family photo in Charles's hand, "Do you not want the Foundation's fire because you've always wanted to go home?"
"Home?" Charles smiled and put away the family photo. "That place is my home, but Earth Sea is my home now too. Which one is the real home?"
"The Earth Sea and Earth's surface are just separated by a sea, everyone is in one place. Without the Foundation, there would be no protection between the Earth Sea and the surface. If no one took their place, the peaceful life on the surface wouldn't last long."
Charles, holding a tablet in his hand, limped towards the outside of the cemetery.
