I started summoning golem after golem until I had five golems. Then I started to grab the children one by one. Once I got all of them I was about to jump over the fire when I saw Cass jump over the fire.
"What are you doing here?! I got this handled," I asked
"I know, but after the wall of fire was still here after 10 minutes have gone by and I got worried!" Cassandra answered
I didn't even realize until the phoenix spoke that he already killed all the golems.
"Reunited with your girlfriend, eh?" The white-flamed phoenix said with a confident ton
"Ew we're siblings, plus this dude is never gonna get a girlfriend 'cause nobody wants him," Cassandra said smiling at Chris's unamused face.
I just shacked my head at Cassandra's comments and looked back at the phoenix. It looked like the golems did somewhat damage to him, but I didn't look at him for long before I realize I still have to get the children to safety.
I quickly jumped over the wall of fire and got the children somewhere safe. When I was putting down the last child, I heard Cassandra scream. I quickly told the children to stay there until the phoenixes retreated and flew over to the battlefield. When I got there I saw Cassandra unconscious on the ground and one of Ezra's friends beside her.
"What happened here? Is Cassandra ok?!" I asked
"Your sister's ok, she just has some minor injuries. But about what happened here I got no clue," Maybell said
"Please bring Cassandra outside the wall of fire and get her to a doctor. I'll take care of the rest, thank you," I said staring angrily at the phoenix.
The girl nodded and teleported out. The Phoenix and I were staring each other down. I needed to cast the technic, but I'm going to need time at least five minutes. So I summoned more fire golems and started casting the technic. I waited patiently for each minute to go by, but if things hadn't gone worse the phoenix took down all the golems.
The phoenix then started blasting white flames at me. I was getting shot left and right, I couldn't do anything with my hands doing symbols. I just had to endure the pain, and after feeling burning pain for what felt like an eternity the minute was finally up. All I needed to do now was get his blood and the Endless hole of Flame technic will be complete.
I started using up every last drop of magic I have to use the technic Thousands of Fireballs. Once that technic was cast fireballs rained where the phoenix stood until he was unconscious. I walked over to the unconscious phoenix and took a drop of his blood and made a circle around us with the blood. I took a letter out and put it outside of the circle and seconds later a beam of light hit me and the phoenix. Before I knew it my soul was taken and I was gone...

When a beam of light shot up into the sky everyone on the battlefield stopped and stared at the light. When it faded, all the phoenixes started flying away. Some dragons started to pursue them, but then someone said.
"Don't pursue them, I have a feeling this war is over," The old man said
To my surprise, everyone listened and started to go back into the city. I realized what happened when I saw doctors running to Chris's body and Cassandra crying. I met up with the others and we all were walking back to Ezra's house in complete silence. When we got to Ezra's house, we went inside still silent when Staria walked into the room confused about what happened.
"Uh... guys what's with the long faces? What happened on the battlefield?" Staria asked
"Chris... he... he's gone," Isabela said in a quiet voice
