Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2

When Jun Xie regained consciousness, he was lying on a soft large bed, probably king sized. There was a handsome man with a fiery hair of red hair and an equally fiery beard staring at him. There was a physician-at least he thinks that's what he was-taking his pulse by the side.

"The young master is awake!" The physician exclaimed.

Seems like this body had some position all right.

"Son! Are you alright?" The red haired man asked.

Son?! This handsome man was his father? He didn't look a day over 30 and at a glance the body he was in was a teenager.

Seeing him not responding, the red haired man frowned at the physician.

"The young master had hit his head when he fell off the horse, he might have had a concussion," the physician said calmly.

So this body had hit his head huh? A plan was forming in Jun Xie's mind of how he can convincingly change this body's character. It was quite cliché and typical for Tv dramas, but it will work.

"Who are you? where am I?" he asked as he looked around with a confused face.

The red haired man and the physician looked at each other in alarm.

"Young master, do you remember your name?" the physician asked.

Jun Xie hadn't read the body's memories yet, he naturally didn't know the name of the one he was occupying. He frowned in thought and shook his head.

The two by his bed side looked at each other again. The physician also frowned in thought for a moment and seemed to realize something.

"The impact on the young master's head must have affected his memories and caused amnesia. It's hard to determine whether this state is permanent or not." he said hesitantly.

"Son, do you remember anything at all?" red haired inquired.

Jun Xie seemed lost in thought again, he pursed his lips and shrugged helplessly, "I can't seem to remember anything at all, except the feeling of falling and great pain."

The two adults looked at each other again, Jun xie almost thought maybe they were telepathic.

Five red haired sighed, sat on the side of the bed and held Jun Xie's hand.

"Your name is Yoot! and you are my son. I am Chicahua, your father and Marquis of this city," he pointed at the physician, "This is Xochil, the Grandmaster physician of this city."

Upon hearing the unusual names Jun Xie realised something, the language in this place seems similar to Aztec from Ancient Earth. He hadn't noticed because they all understood each other, luckily the language was part of this body's instinct.

"Then how did I end up like this?" Jun Xie asked.

The Marquis frowned and a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes, "Don't worry, I've already sought justice for you and it won't happen again. If you can't ride a horse it doesn't matter, you are the future Marquis and just need to ride a carriage. You don't remember, but this started because of your fiance, well ex-fiance now. Your father was concerned with brotherhood and accepted the arranged marriage, but that girl doesn't have a sense of propriety. I've already cancelled that engagement and you don't need to give their family any face. In the future, marry whoever you want and as many as you want, your father can even afford ten wives for you!"

Jun Xie was speechless, his father's love and coaxing was really unique, but his heart felt a little sour. His original parents had left him at an orphanage and then he found them, they told him he was a mistake and they gave him away because they didn't want anyone disturbing their world of two.

The Marquis' love and doting touched him and he vowed to be filial and love him just as much.

"Dad…" he said and hugged him. At this point in time, Jun Xie was almost ready to assimilate into Yaotl and become Yaotl.

The Marquis was startled and embraced Jun Xie tightly, "My son, don't worry, live well and die free. Even if you poke a hole in the sky, your father will fix it, okay?"

Nodding quickly and holding back tears, Jun Xie dug himself deeper into his father's warm embrace.

The two adults left him to rest and he took this time to accept some of Yaotl's memories. What he saw left him at a loss for words. This young man was a "wanna be" warrior. Emphasis on "wanna be" because he was so weak he could barely lift a sword. Well, Jun Xie preferred daggers and throwing knives but he could still wield a sword.

Now he was in the body of someone that couldn't even throw a chair if push came to shove.

Despite the depressing situation, he called on System 003.

"what now? How can I train this body? I need strength to roam the world and live free."

[Host can call on his character panel, killing beasts and completing tasks can help the Host level up and become stronger. I also have a virtual store the Host can access after reaching Level 20 or reaching the Junior level of this world. Also, Host can communicate with me telepathically, no need to shout out loud like a lunatic.]

At the last part System 003 sounded a little disdainful to Jun Xie.

Regardless, Jun Xie called out his character panel

Name: Jun Xie/Yaotl

Level: 0

Exp: 0/100 MP: 0/10 HP: 10/50

Stats STR:10 STM:10 DEX:5

INT: 1 VIT:5 AGI: 15

Class: Warrior

Skills: None

Spells: None

Yes, despite choosing warrior class this body simply had no talent and couldn't even learn basic sword skills.

"System, is there no novice package or anything of the sort? And why is my intelligence only 1? I graduated with outstanding scores in the Capital University you know!?"

[ Intelligence stat correlates with Mana Points. If host wants higher INT, then Host needs skills to gain max MP, or add stat points to INT. There is no novice package though.]

It seemed INT affected MP and VIT affected HP, no matter, all he needed was time and opportunities and he'd eventually raise them. However, he needed at least a basic attack skill before he could start killing beasts.

There was an expansive library in the Marquis Castle, but his current self was too weak to make the trip. Luckily there were bells he could ring by his bedside to call servants. After pulling on one of them, it didn't even take two minutes for a servant in a blue uniform to appear.

"Young master, I am Xitllali. I have been your personal servant since you were 6. Is there anything I can help you with?" she said gently. Based on her introduction, it seems his father had already warned the servants about his "amnesia".

"I wish to get stronger. I don't want to fall off a horse again." Jun Xie said. Xitllali seemed to contemplate for a moment, "very well, there are several warrior skills and mage techniques in the library that young master can use. The warrior skills depend on the weapon - single handed sword, double handed sword, broadsword, daggers, knives, blades and throwing weapons or concealed weapons. The mage techniques depend on the element-fire, ice, water, wind, earth, wood, metal and lightning. Which ones would young master like to learn?"

Despite his fame as a waste, his personal servant seemed to take it seriously that he wished to learn.

"What would you recommend?" Jun Xie enquired.

Xitllali thought for a moment, then said, "Young master's strength is not the greatest, but your speed has potential, so I would recommend daggers and throwing needles for warrior skills and eventually bows and arrows. For mage skills, young master hasn't been tested for elemental roots so it's hard to decide."is a

"Alright, bring me dagger and throwing needles skills I can learn and how do I test elemental roots?" Jun Xie was getting a little excited. Usually the transmigrator could have extraordinary talent as a golden finger, so he was anticipating the elemental roots test.

"Alright, I will fetch the books and inform master about the test. This morning young master's best friend Chimali came to visit, young master should expect his visit soon. He comes after breakfast, after lunch, after supper and after dinner. It is almost lunch, I will send for young master's food soon." Xitllali bowed deeply and left swiftly.
