Chapter 25 - 25 Beat Down

A rabbit was foraging on the forest floor with the dark entrance of a cave behind it. Two red dots appeared in the darkest depths of the cave and focused on the rabbit. The aura from the red dots immobilized the rabbit with fear. The red dots turned out to be the glowing eyes of a dashing teenager.

He had a chiseled jawline with smooth skin that had a slight paleness similar to the glow of the moon. His sharp nose went well with his thin lips that were curled up in a smile. His black silky hair reached his shoulders and looked well maintained despite the length.

"Nothing like a victory snack." With that, Milas lunged at the rabbit that stood no chance against the speed of a vampire. His fangs dug deep into the animal and the sweet taste of blood entered his mouth. The blood had a slightly earthy scent and even faintly tasted like fresh fruit. The rabbit was soon drained of all its blood while Milas stood there with some blood on his lower lip and chin. Most of the blood was used to recover the lost stamina from the previous battle.

Milas had learnt from Deogratius that vampires weren't limited to human blood. They could also drink the blood of animals but not beasts. Beast crystals would turn the blood dark and it becomes poisonous to vampires. He could basically drink the blood of any creature that didn't have a crystal for an energy source.

The brown furred corpse of the rabbit was left on the ground to serve as a meal for scavengers. Milas could already feel the burning from the contract when he tried walking in the opposite direction to the vampire settlement. He headed in the direction that reduced the burning.

Milas had been walking for hours and the sky was starting to darken. Night was approaching and beasts would start roaming. The dark blanket of a moonless and starlit night was a welcoming environment for the young vampire. Milas was moving between the leafy branches like a shadow. His enhanced hearing made him aware of any sound within his surroundings.

He could perceive the flapping of bats in the dark and could pinpoint the location when he focused. Milas was moving swiftly but he still payed attention to his surroundings. He stopped moving and stared to his left. His eyes glowed red and his vision sharpened to see the dark figure between the leaves.

Milas climbed higher into the canopy and silently approached the figure from above. The person was staring at a normal dear that seemed aware of the danger around it but clueless to its location. The figure would slowly sneak up on it and freeze when the dear sensed it.

Milas was also sneaking up on his own target but his job was easier as the dear never looked above it. He was now a few meters above the figure and the figure was two steps away from the dear. The unaware dear was suddenly pinned to the ground and sharp fangs pierced its neck.

It tried to break free and make some noise but a hand held its mouth shut. The figure was pinning the dear down while it bit deeper into its flesh. Milas wasn't paying attention to the dear as his eyes were glued to the figure or more specifically the figure's butt.

He didn't have to be a genius to figure out that it was a woman as the smooth curve of her thick bubble butt was a dead giveaway. Milas was scanning her back and wondering how it could bend in such a way. The black clothing she wore stuck to her shapely body and highlighted the curves while hiding the skin.

The female turned around and Milas used the chance to scan her chest. The perky breasts could fit in his hand but he knew that they were being restricted. The buttons of the shirt were straining and Milas was praying for them to fail. In the end Milas was the one who failed to notice that he was caught.

A rock hit his forehead and he fell from the treetops hitting the ground with his right side. Milas' ribs hurt but he couldn't even process it when a kick landed on his guts. He was thrown away and came to a stop when his back slammed against a tree.

Milas saw a face with heart shaped lips, small nose, raised cheekbones and long lashes. The blood on her lips was strangely alluring and matched the crimson glow of her eyes. Milas didn't realize that he was gawking at her despite the kick he received moments ago.

"You bloody pervert! I'll gouge your eyes out!" The young vampire screamed but Milas had only listened to her angelic voice. He barely moved his head in time to evade the punch that left an imprint on the tree. Milas saw this and snapped out of his daze. He caught the second punch and kicked her in the legs to trip her.

The female vampire fell right on top of him and Milas grabbed her other hand by the wrist. His training had allowed him to easily overpower her. He turned around and pinned her body beneath his before trying to explain.

"I'm sorry! It's not wh... AAAHH." Milas was incapable of continuing as the vampire had bitten his chest. That however, wasn't the reason why he screamed. The cunning vampire had simultaneously kneed him in the groin. The sudden pain felt worse than the time he broke his ribs.

The vampire freed herself and turned Milas over. Her knees were firmly planted on his hands, keeping them in place. What followed was a one-sided beat down. Milas had lost a few teeth and even swallowed one as his face got pounded to a mush. He was really angry at the woman for overreacting and hitting him despite him not fighting back.

"Enough of this!" Milas yelled as he kicked her off his body. The female tried to regain her balance but Milas grabbed her leg and tripped her. He used that leg to drag her across the ground before sitting on her back and holding both her hands. He let her struggle till she started to calm down.

"Listen you crazy bitch, I didn't mean to look at you like that. If you felt offended then you should remember that I let you pummel me till you overdid it. We are even now so I'm gonna let you go and we'll forget this happened." Milas didn't wait for her reply as he scrambled away from her. The vampire got into a stance and stared daggers into his soul. Milas helplessly lifted his hands up in surrender.

"Tell this to anyone and I will kill you." The vampire said as she backed away.

"I don't wanna fight a woman who has a thing against my balls." Milas retorted which caused the vampire to stop and stare at him. "You stare at me like that and I'm the pervert?"

The vampire had heard enough of Milas' comments and decided to shut him up. She dashed towards him and attacked at a shocking speed. Milas could easily see and defend against her moves due to his faster reaction speed. He was enjoying the feeling of being superior to a vampire when he slipped up and got punched.

Milas finally got serious and started throwing punches at her shoulders to disable her. The plan would have gone better if he didn't have to avoid the punches she threw. He let another hit land on his chest so that he could get closer to her. Milas held her neck with his left hand and slammed her into a tree, his right hand hovered over her with a fist.

"You don't have the heart to hit a woman, do you?" The vampire asked while she looked deep into Milas' eyes.

"You're right, I don't have a heart." Milas punched her without holding back his strength and he felt the breaking of bone under his fist. The vampire looked stunned but Milas kept punching till she passed out which was pretty hard for a vampire. He let her lay on the ground and entered the forest.

Milas came back some time later with a possum in his hand. The animal was pretending to be dead but Milas could clearly hear its heartbeat. He bit it and drank enough blood to heal his wounds. He then drained the rest of the blood to fill an empty flask and left it beside the vampire.

Milas picked up a small stone and moved through the treetops. He was a good distance away when he threw the stone to hit a tree near the unconscious woman. The sound managed to wake her up and Milas decided to leave so as to avoid trouble with the crazy woman.

Milas decided to completely forget everything about the little encounter he had.
