I hastily put my glass down on the table before getting up from my chair and gripping the hands of my manager, who had just put down the whiskey bottle as tightly as I could.
"No, I don't mind her request. Please tell Naomi if I agree to date her."
"Er... Are you sure about that?"
I nodded my head several times while looking into the eyes of my manager, who seemed to doubt my decision with confidence.
"Yes. I'm pretty sure about that. Please let her know to give me a date and a place."
"Before I agree to your request, I want to confirm one thing."
"Sure. What do you want to ask?"
My manager cleared her throat a few times before taking my hands off of her and pressing her hands together on the table.
Her gaze was directed straight at me with a serious expression on her face, which, to be honest, started to make me a little worried about what would come out of her lips wearing maroon red lipstick that matched her fair skin tone so well.
