Being more familiar allowed them to be quicker. With the Empire's Transition Base command center, Ji Xinghe, seemingly possessing x-ray vision, rapidly reached one of the twelve oxygen supply chambers of the Transition Base and completed the explosive setup.

Ji Xinghe's sudden change of direction wasn't because he sensed Aida Kang's interception or the impending arrival of Martial Emperor III, but because his initial target was never the Empire Transition Base's command center.
