In the end, the long night wasn't very fruitful. Other then learning the location of quite a number of good streams, spots for grubs, ants, rabbits… all sorts of 'food' and places with nice shade, Di Tou hadn't learned or heard anything about the Golden Light Monastery or humans passing through.
Of course, this in itself could be considered a type of information. If nothing else, it was indicative the people from the Golden Light Monastery had never come through, right? Of course, this sort of determination was a bit weak, and Di Tou felt like he should still try searching around.
As the new morning came, Di Tou went back to check on the bird beast, once again concealing his presence, and examining it, he found that although it still seemed a bit antsy, it also seemed a bit tired, and had started gather its items nad piling them up once more… Still, the poison was still there, but Di Tou felt like it was a good direction. One step at a time, right?
