Focusing on the faint connection, Di Tou couldn't properly hold a thought about anything else at the moment, instead holding onto it tight, like a parent holding onto their child's hands at a busy mall, afraid that if they were to let go for a moment, their child might go missing forever.
In this moment, Di Tou felt like a small leaf riding in a giant ocean. As a leaf, he wished to cross the ocean but had no way to do so! After all, he was just a leaf… But he was a leaf with a dream! Against all odds, he had already flown across the continent and finally come here, to this endless body of water, and had landed but had no way to move forward, only trusting the wind, and the mercy of time to finally send him on the right way.
But alas, the current was against him and with each wave he felt his form breaking apart. Like in just a few more gentle waves, his leafy form would shatter, turning into fertiliser and nutrients for the endless ocean.
