"Ah, so you are in the office. Then I might have mistaken someone for you. Thank goodness I didn't greet you earlier." Nidia walked toward Dylan and scrutinized him.
"Mrs. Cunningham, did you see me just now?" Dylan asked.
"I was with Bubsy at the mall earlier, and I saw someone who looked like you. I wanted to thank you for taking care of Lily, but you were with another woman, so I didn't want to interrupt," Nidia said with a doubtful tone. She was trying to guess his relationship with that woman.
Dylan looked stern. Instead of beating around the bush, he admitted, "You were right. That was me."
"So, you went to meet your friend just now?" Nidia asked.
"Yes. Technically, she's not my friend, just someone I know." Dylan sounded cold, as if he refused to continue the conversation.
