Chapter 3 - Ch.3 Palace and determination

Ryuma didn't know what to think at the moment. The villagers attacked them since one of them saw him using his bones, something only his mother knew about. And when the villagers attacked they brought some ninja since apparently one with the same kekkei genkai killed many shinobi in the past.

He understood that both his parents were from old clans, his father a ninja and mother a samurai, and that made them dangerous if people found out. He thought he would be safe as long as he was careful, but fate had a different idea. And then this man showed up and saved his mother.

He glanced back the man that was leading him to the edge of the island while carrying his mother. He was tall, thin, had weird hair, and was powerfull. He had never seen someone move that fast, or use a blade that was also a cane.

When they arrived at the man's boat Ryuma had to stop and stare at it, it was the strangest boat he had seen. A white sail with a smiling skull and crossbones going across the boat, and was shaped in a way like no other ship he had seen. The man continued walking forward so he followed.

When they boarded the ship the man took his mother to a bed in the cabin. The man then turned to him. "You can stay in case your mother wakes up." the man said.

Ryuma just nodded. "Okay" he said as he went to sit beside his mother's bed. The man nodded and went above deck. About a minute later the ship was moving.

He didn't know how much time had pasted as he listened to his mother breathing, the only thing that indicated she was alive, when the boat stopped. The man came down again and picked up his mother walking out. When Ryuma walked out of the cabin and see were they landed he gaped in shock and awe.

There were dozens of ships off many shapes and sizes, they look like ships ment for going out to sea and war. They were buetifull. He looked behind him and saw two massive doors closing, but not befroe he glimpsed at the sea and the strange green and blue light that covered the sky.

Ryuma noticed that the man was walking away from the docks and heading through a wooden door. He followed and entered a massive elaborate hallway of white and gold. This man was undoubtedly very wealthy and powerful, he must be cautious.

The man had hoped on a sort off platform still carrying his mother as he followed. The man then pulled a lever and they started to smoothly go to there destination at a fast speed. He glanced down to see how fast they were going as his hair wiped back in teh wind and he the floor blur. Good thing his mother and father trained him physically in the basics and balance was the most important and the one he was most trained in.

The platform stopped after a few minutes and it made Ryuma realize how big this place really was. If he built that platform just to get around faster he must very knowledgeable and skilled.

The man opened the door and as he glanced in it he saw what he would describe as a laboratory liked he read in books with several strange devices with wires on them and shelves with books and cabinets. The man entered and placed his mother on the bed softly before turning to him. "I need to work in peace, you are free to explore as much as you wish." He said before turning back to the devices.

"Whats your name?" Ryuma asked curiously hopping not to offend his 'host'. "Brook." the man replied after a moment before walking over and closing the door.

With nothing to do and deciding to trust this man with his mother Ryuma started to wander. He decided not to fool around on the lift since he might end up hurt or unable to find his way back. He wandered the endless hallway for 10 minutes before deciding to check some off the doors.

The first door he opened was filled with strange banners and flags, he looked around finding it vast and many of them seems ancient. The second room he opened was filled with plants and seemed to be a sort of greenery of sorts. He tried a few more doors that held a bunch of stuff that seemed random, from shards with writing on them to a room full of strange looking fruits behind thick glass and a lock. He decided not to question it.

He was about to try another door when he felt something "call" him, like a small tug. Curious he followed that tug, he passed through an aquarium full of strange fish, a giant window viewing the sea, and a massive courtyard that he had to cross.

He arrived at the strange door and opened it. When he fully opened the door, he was shocked at what he saw. Rows of weapons of all kinds lined the all around the room, but what drew him, was the swords.

There were dozens of swords all lined up. One blade seems to be the one calling him. It was on a row of twelve swords of many shapes and sizes, the most impressive was the a massive black blade with a large gem impudent gold cross gaurd. Each sword seemed to radiate an aura of power and destruction.

What drew his eyes, was one blade. It was a katana type with a gold and black handle, a golden gaurd with the design of a dragon, and an elaborate black and gold scabbard(A kitesu blade with a black theme). The label above said "Shodai Kitetsu. Supreme grade sword". He didn't know what that ment but assumed it was important.

He took the sword off the shelf and drew it. It shocked him that it had a black blade much the big one, it had a wave like pattern going down the sharp edge. The blade seemed to radiate an aura like the others, except this one was different and he couldn't pace why.

He ran his thumb along the edge of the blade and was shocked at how sharp it felt, it was a wonder he didn't lose his thumb. He looked at the blade in awe regarding its craftsman ship. He then recalled something his mother said when he started his kenjutsu training and asked when he could get a sword; she smiled and said "Sometimes the sword chooses the wielder, and sometimes it accepts the wielder, you'll know if you are chosen or accepted by a blade." he didn't know what she ment at that time, but he thinks he does now.

"Shodai Kitetsu," Ryuma siad holding the blade, "My name Kaguya Ryuma" the blade seemed to get 'excited at the name "I don't what you are exactly, but if this means you chose me, then I will wield you with dignity. Although I am weak now I can tell you are powerful, so I will get stronger to prove I am worthy for you." The blade didn't respond, but he felt like it understood.

He started carrying Shodai Kitetsu around as he continued to explore. He found a room full of jutsus that contained more jutsus then the five villages combined, all labeled and organized. He took a few D and C-Rank scrolls as well as some Taijutsu and Kenjutsu scrolls along with scrolls on Chakra cotrol before checking the room across from it. It was filled with several techniques that involved stuff called Haki, and several training regimes and more fighting styles then he could probably count.

He spent an hour in that before taking a scroll labeled 'Garp's training', 'One sword style', and one labeled 'Rokushiki'. He then looked around for a place to train. He found one half an hour later filled with weights, a shooting range, even a pool. He then found a place to put down his scrolls and sword before picking up the 'Garp's training' one.

Brook looked on as he watched Ryuma train hard even though he was so young. 'Such determination is not common, but I can see it in his eyes. There the same as Zoro's.'

Brook looked back to the boy training. 'He will grow up to do great things.'
