Despite Fu Wangning's attempts to make excuses, Fu Youhan only needed to see her swollen red eyes to guess what was happening.
"Did the old master ask you to follow me?"
Fu Wangning immediately looked like a child who had done something wrong and nodded her head with eyes downcast.
"Wangning, believe me, he wouldn't dare lay a hand on you," Fu Youhan tried to convince her.
But such persuasion was too feeble for Fu Wangning.
"Brother Han, please do me a favor. Just let me hitch a ride on your private jet. As long as he sees that I'm leaving with you, that will be enough."
Fu Wangning was on the verge of tears, and eventually, Fu Youhan relented.
"Alright, prepare yourself for the plane at noon, and stop crying."
Fu Wangning nodded her head, wiped away her tears, and showed a smile: "Thank you, Brother Han."
Fu Youhan gave a nod of his head without saying anything.
