Chapter 129 - RDD 128

RDD 128

While Penelope was raising her brow at me, thinking that I forgot about our daughter's birthday, I immediately thought of a way to change the topic.

"A- about Sophia's birthday, do you think it's better to take her to Jollibee? She's fan-girling on Jollibee right now."

"Honey, I don't know what fan-girling means, but it's a good thing that you're thinking about our daughter. Well, if we are talking about her birthday, I think it's better to take her to sea."

Penelope thankfully changed her focus on Sophia's birthday. I sighed and responded.

"That's right. Sophia cried last time because she didn't see the sea. Maybe we take her to the sea this time."

The northern part of Cavite province was the sea. In the summer, people like going to Naic, Cavite, and Tarnate, Cavite.

Now that I'm going to hire another worker, my job is going to be easier and I have more time for my family. I think it's not a problem to go to the sea at that time.

We both nodded and decided to celebrate her birthday at the sea. I'm sure Sophia will be happy, especially when how much she cried last time.

April was the start of summer vacation in the Philippines. Many people used this chance to take a vacation in the sea or cold region to have some fun.

Some went to foreign countries to spend their summer vacation. Of course, the people who could afford this vacation trip were rich.

Some went to Baguio City, this city was known as the summer capital of the country because of its cold climate. Even in the middle of the summer. The altitude of the city was too high so the climate in the city was usually colder than the others.

The Philippines is a tropical country and it's very hot most of the time, so people went to Baguio to escape the heat.

Of course, the next summer locations of Filipinos are the seashores/beaches. Going to the beach is a go-to list of people in this hot humid weather.

Since summer vacation starts in April, beaches in the country might be packed with reservations.

"Mom, I'm going to be Grade 1 this year. When will I enroll in an Elementary school?"

While The Bodyguard is ongoing, Roman spoke to us about his education.

Both Penelope and I looked at our son. Of course, his education is important to us.

"We have a list of schools that you can enter."

Penelope replied. Honestly, the two of us already had a school in our mind but we are still saving for his tuition fee...

It was a prestigious school and has complete facilities. It has a high education and teaches languages such as English, Spanish, and Japanese. Unfortunately, the yearly tuition fee was a kick in the balls.

We are his parents and we hope to give him the best education, even if we have to crawl into the mud. For simple parents like us, the only thing we can give our children is education.

We didn't have tangible properties. Even this house and the shop are not ours. If the burger shop is profitable, maybe we can inherit it. But for now, the best option for our kids is education. Something that I didn't cherish.

"The schools have different enrollment schedules. You can enroll me in a public school, it's not a problem for me."

Roman said it with no concern. Penelope and I had bitter smiles on our faces.

"Roman, come here~"

Penelope said it playfully and Roman didn't have a choice but to drop his Game Boy.

He sat down on his mother's legs. Penelope hugged him and rubbed his hair. Roman didn't like that I touch his hair, but it was different from his mother. He smiled and let his mother rub his hair.

"You know that we love you. Of course you are going to a nice school."

"But it will be a burden to you."

"No, it's our greatest gift for you."

Roman is five years old but already has mature behavior. He knows how the world works.

He is born on November 20, 1995... Which means that he was conceived in February, ahem. My wife and I did the deed in this exact house on February 14, Valentine's Day, without protection.

So I can confirm that Roman is the fruit of our hard work on Valentine's Day.

Once The Bodyguard was finished, the two kids were already sleepy. We carried them to their room and make sure that they are sleeping comfortably.

Penelope looked at me... She was looking at me with a fierce gaze.

"You said that I'm fat?"

"What? No, I never said that. You're the one who ate the chocolates, not me."

"Aha, so you're saying I'm fat."

"... Why are you putting words in my mouth?"

"Keith, don't try to change the topic. I know that you almost forgot Sophia's birthday."

"Honey, you're the one who changed the topic."

"Tsk tsk tsk. We need to talk, so you have to undress."

She grinned and approached me. Her aura was too dangerous for me right now.

"I don't think undressing and talking are too related."

"So you're talking back now."

"Aight."

With a clear defeat, I started undressing. I have toned abs after working out these days, my wife likes touching them. She even bites it, saying that it was her bread.

Anyway, as long as she's happy, I can do this much.

Penelope licked her lips and leaned down. She started touching my abs.

"It's unfair that you have this kind of body even though you ate more than me. Three plates of rice per dinner is too much."

"What? Three plates of rice are the norm."

"Anyway... How about we take things slowly?"

We both giggled and started our nightly jobs.
