The royal guards did stop moving, but they didn't lower their weapons in the end after I said this.
It really looked like they were ready to attack as soon as they saw an opportunity.
I knew that it was impossible for me to convince them with just these few words.
So that was why I said, "Do you have any part of you that we can talk to?"
Though I asked this, I wasn't really confident that the tentacles would be able to hear me. After all, these were tentacles which meant that they were arms, it wasn't as if arms would be used to hear.
But then again, I don't think that creatures like this had ears to begin with…
If I remember correctly, they had structures that would sense the change in water pressure and that was the equivalent of an ear for creatures like this.
So I was thinking about how to send waves in the direction that the whirlpools had been in to communicate with the head of this thing.
