In the Council's secret base, Kotori and the other members of the Council were preparing Kotori for her battle against Kaneki.
Using this opportunity, Kotori began to test Tohru's old coats that she used to wore during her days as Demon Knight Hiragi.
Kotori: You guys think everyone is going to like me wearing Mama's coats? Should I make my own coat like Kaneki-chan?

She then went back to make preparations for the Battle.

In the Higanbana Residence, the Higanbana girls were making dinner while waiting for Kaneki when they've received some news about him.
Natsuki: Itsuki-san said he was talking to some ghost of his two dead friends.
Chikao: Wanna bet that these friends are girls as well.
Sachi: what makes you think that Chi-chan?
Chikao: Sachi most of the people Kaneki is close with are girls. It's not that surprising if they're girls as well.
Sachi: Oh yeah that's true.

Natsuki: Sure.

Miku was the one who was most shocked by this as she played around that tree a lot since she was a kid.
Chikao: well... Let's go back to cooking, we don't want to burn the food.
Natsuki: Yeah let's ask Kaneki about this later.
The Higanbana girls then went back to cook dinner.

Kaneki: I'm Home~
After 5 minutes Kaneki returned to his home.

Miku: You buried two girls underneath the tree in our backyard?! Since when?!
Kaneki was surprised to learn that Miku found out about those two.
Kaneki: So Itsuki told you guys huh?
Natsuki: Yeah he did and Miku was upset about it.
Miku: YOU HAVE A LOT TO EXPLAIN ONII-CHAN, AFTER ALL YOU'VE MADE ME PLAY ON TOP OF CORPSES.
Kaneki: Uhhh... I'll tell you girls about them in two days, I promise.
Shino: There there Miku he already said he'll tell us soon so no need to be aggressive.
Kaneki: So what were you girls up to when I was gone?
Natsuki: We've cooked you dinner, come.
Natsuki took Kaneki's hand and dragged him to the kitchen where the rest of them were at.

Sachi: Welcome back Kaneki, so how was your trip the Bathhouse?
Kaneki: it was fun, also I actually shared a bath with some of my students and the guys in our class. It was honestly fun.
Sachi: really? That's some good improvement.
Natsuki: Improvement?
Sachi: Kaneki refuses to be in the same place as with other boys back then. Whenever we go on a field trip where we would spend a few days in a hotel he would refuse to join bathing with other boys.
Kaneki: To be fair I never liked being around other boys back then.
Chikao: Fair point.
Natsuki: So Kaneki what dk you think of the food we made?
Kaneki: so good, and quite a lot.

Natsuki: and since it'll be a while before your battle with Kotori-san, lets play some video games again! Or even watch some anime.

After they've finished eating dinner, Kaneki and the Higanbana girls then went on to play video games.
Kaneki: So Sachi what exactly do I need to do this game?
Sachi: just watch the cameras and watch over the robots, if they are close to you like by the doors close them until they leave and survive until 7 am.
Kaneki: you said this was going to be a scary game. Where's the scary?

Sachi: That's right! And Tohru-san did stop you but since she was still in the sword she couldn't have moved on her own.
Natsuki: that would mean the culprit was... Kotori-san.
Chikao: Dear god she can control time as well.
Kaneki: tentacles, the ability to control time and... I think she also used Darkness travel?
Natsuki: What could her abilities be?
Kaneki: well I have a hunch but I'm not exactly sure.
Higanbana girls: Tell us.
The Higanbana girls wanted to know what Kaneki thought of.

Kaneki: well then, I guess I'll be going now. Time to prep for battle.

Kaneki: I'll be leaving Mama in your hands, I think I won't be using her for my battle against Onee-chan, so in the mean time you girls can chat with Mama while the battle hasn't started yet.

Kaneki then walked up to the door to the backyard and opened it.
And as he slide it open, a different space appeared.
Yuuka: Is that?
Kaneki: we'll see you guys.

As he entered the other side, the door closed and the space on the other side disappeared.
