Kaneki: Haa~! Haa~!
After being kicked by his sister, Kaneki was left gasping for air as his body was damaged severely.
And with all of his abilities including his regeneration temporarily disabled, it wasn't looking good for Kaneki.
But he wasn't thinking of his current situation.
Natsuki: Are those? Kaneki's...
Querxes: Yup, it's his memories again.
He was unknowingly looking back at his memories and these memories were also being displayed in one of Jumbotrons in Shimotsuki Stadium.
Static~!
"AAAAAAARGH! NOT ENOUGH! NOT ENOUGH!"
The very first memory that appeared displayed what seemed to be in Kaneki's perspective when he was 4 years old.
"I need more... I need more power... I need to bring back Mama... I need to kill them... I need to kill them all! All those monsters... I'll kill EVERY LAST ONE"
His voice was distorted filled with nothing but hate and malice.
Flash!
"AAAAAAARGH!"
All while images of his mother's bloodied body flashed over and over again, everyone watching were all stunned by what they saw.
???: Woah his memories are being shown again.
???: Eek I can't believe this is coming from when he was a kid.
???: Poor thing.
Many were both scared and sad for Kaneki, seeing how he was deeply affected by his mothers death.
Querxes: Yup that's Kaneki alright.
Chikao: I knew Kaneki was affected by Tohru-san's death but... I didn't expect it to be this bad.
Natsuki: Kaneki...
Sachi: ...
Shino, Yuuka and Miku: ...
The Higanbana girls were also surprised after seeing this.
Growl~!
"Annoying!"
Very quickly a bear had appeared and tried to attack the young Kaneki but as the memory continued a bloody scene played out.
Pierce!
The young Kaneki charged and made the bear fall on its back before delivering a fatal blow by piercing it's heart.
Sachi & Shino: Wait isn't that?
Both Sachi and Shino found the memory very familiar, why?
"Grrr~"
"Kaneki?"
"Huh?"
"Woah you took down a bear!"
"So cool!"
Sachi and Shino's thoughts*
(It is!)
It was because both of them were there.
They witnessed that scene with their very eyes.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
"Huh? Don't tell us you forgotten about us!"
"It's me Sachi!"
"And me Sh#?$"
"Sachi... Sh#?$... ARGH!"
After repeating their names, images of the two girls began flashing very quickly and after this the scene took a surprising turn.
"Sachi... Sh#?$... WAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"EHH?!"
The perspective of the young Kaneki began to turn blurry as he started to cry.
'I forgotten about them... My dear friends... How could I?'
And his voice filled with guilt spoke out.
Itsuki: Hey what's going on?
Querxes: i don't know, but I have a feeling something big is about to happen.
As he said this, Querxes looked back at the other Jumbotron displaying the battle.
Querxes: Look even Kotori seems to have that same feeling as well
Keiko: Hey you're right!
Back Fake Shimotsuki*
Kotori: Ooh~ this is interesting~
Sizzle~
As Kaneki's memories continued to be shown back at the Stadium, there was a small flame that appeared on his chest.
This caught Kotori's curiosity, so instead of attacking she sat down near Kaneki's unconscious body.
Kotori: Show me what you can do, baby brother.
And happily waited for what would happen next.
In the Stadium*
And back in the Stadium, the memories continued to be displayed.
"There there, you can stop crying now"
"Sob~ but I've forgotten about you two... And... And"
Hug~
"It's alright, we know... You must miss your Mom right?"
"Mhmm, I want to bring her back... I need to... Get more power..."
"Really? In that case lets go home, we'll give you a hand"
Flash!
The memory showed the two girls, Sachi and Shino comforting Kaneki when they were very young even offering their hands to help him.
After this memory finished many memories of Sachi and Shino helping Kaneki flashed very quickly before the Jumbotron went completely black.
Sachi: I remember this.
Natsuki: Really? What's going on here?
Sachi: Kaneki hadn't played me and Shita-chan for a whole year after his mother died, our parents explained to us that he was going through some things and we needed to help him.
Keiko: Help him?
Sachi: Yeah and as you can see, after me and Shita-chan encountered him again after a whole year he broke down. We didn't understood why back then but now... He was feeling guilty for forgetting us, and you all saw what we did after we had calmed him down.
Shino's thoughts*
(We helped him by giving him suggestions on what kind of powers he should obtain)
'My first heroes saved me that day and offered their hands to me'
Everyone: Huh?
Kaneki's voice suddenly referred the two as his first heroes, catching everyone watching by surprise.
Sachi: EHHHH?! H-HEROES?!
(HUH?! HE SEE'S ME AND SACHI AS HIS HEROES?!)
Both Sachi and Shino were the most surprised by this sudden revelation.
Static~!
Shortly after Kaneki's voice spoke out, another memory started to be displayed.
"Papa..."
"...."
Once again showing Kaneki's perspective, although this time showing him in his home with Atsuo.
In the memory it showed Kaneki trying to talk to his father but Atsuo didn't responded, ot until Kaneki mentioned something very sensitive.
"Papa do you think... I killed Mama?"
"DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT!"
"!!!"
Atsuo's loud voice had scared him and he had completely misunderstood what his father meant.
The young Kaneki ran away to his room, scared of his father.
"Papa... He hates me... After all I killed Mama..."
Flash!
"I'm sorry Mama... I shouldn't have disobeyed you... I'm sorry I killed you... Sob~"
Back then he thought his father hated him for being the reason why his Mom had died, in addition he was having repeating flashbacks and nightmares of that night.
Yuuka: I just realized something, Kaneki had survivor's guilt for most of his life.
Natsuki, Chikao & Miku: Survivor's guilt?
Yuuka: it's something that someone experiences when they survive something traumatic when others had perished.
Miku: ...
Natsuki: That explains a lot actually.
Flash!
Many images appeared one after another, each one depicting Kaneki's perspective of the distance between his father and himself.
And his voice spoke out again.
'I was afraid of Papa not loving me anymore, everytime I tried to talk to him I would get scared and run away because of that fear. I already lost Mama back then and I was afraid of losing Papa. Until you two became part of our family'
Miku: !!!
The scene the shifted to the day Kaneki met Aiya and Miku, where he was talking to them privately.
"Hehe~ I'm so happy you accepted us rather quickly Kaneki-kun"
"Please just call me Kaneki, Ai?!-Mama"
"Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family, I was very scared you wouldn't approve of it."
"What only matters to me right now is Papa's happiness... He would be more happy with you two around than me..."
"Huh? What are you talking about Onii-chan?"
"Papa has probably told you about... Mama..."
"Oh..."
"Papa is probably angry at me, I'm the reason Mama had died... I think he would be a lot happier with you two than me"
"That's not true, your father always talked about you in a good way all the time and he is actually worried about you"
"What?"
"That's right Onii-chan, whenever Atsuo-Papa would visit us he'd always talk about you and he always have this concerned face."
"He would?"
"It's true Onii-chan, Atsuo-Papa would always tell me 'i hope you could get along with your new big brother' he really wants us to get along. I know why don't you talk to him"

Miku's thoughts*
(Hehe~ it's kind of embarrassing seeing this)
The scene continued showing young Miku trying to make young Kaneki make up with his father.
She dragged him to his father so they could talk.
'You pushed me when I was scared, you've helped me fix my relationship with Papa'
"Papa Onii-chan thinks you hate him"
"What? Kaneki... Why do you think that?"
"I... I..."
"Onii-chan it's okay, calm down look at Atsuo Papa's face"
As Atsuo's face came into view, young Kaneki finally saw the sad and concerned eyes of his father.
The memory continued with young Kaneki and his father making up.
'Because of you, me and Papa was able to go back to being Father and Son. You're not just my sister, but my Hero too'
(Eh? Onii-chan thinks of me as his hero too?)

After that memory concluded, another one started to be displayed.
In Fake Shimotsuki*
Burst! Swoosh~
And back in Fake Shimotsuki.
Kotori: Woah~ Beautiful I can feel it, Kaneki-chan.
After the memory finished another flame had appeared on Kaneki's chest before flying out with two more flames that followed.
3 small balls of fire floated and circled above Kaneki's chest.
