Lancelot turned to his subordinate, who seemed too shocked to process the situation, probably his first time being involved in a real council work. "Send information to the council, and for the body to be taken into custody for investigation." He watched him before shaking his head in disbelief. "What is your name again?"

"Th—Thomas, sir." He met the eyes of the other councilman.

"Councilman Thomas, guard the crime scene." After giving his last orders, Lancelot followed after Garry while using the trails the other vampire had carelessly left behind.

He searched through the nearby bushes quickly for a few minutes before catching up with Garry. "Stop running already; tomorrow the council will hear your side of the story." Lancelot urged him.

Garry stopped running and turned to Lancelot, he argued, "I am being framed."

"If you are not guilty, what is there to be scared of?"
