Chapter 70 - [ GET ME A NEW ONE ]

.... Abigail's POV....

It been days, almost a week after Enoch embarrassed me and broke my heart into pieces. Even though I said I was strong, I was still crying silently. I'll be resuming work in a week time and I needed something to cheer myself up, if not my coworkers won't find it had to determine I was heartbrokened.

"Hello" I said into the phone casually.

"Wow, I have to remember which side of my bed I slept last night, so I can sleep there again." A male voice said at the other end of the phone. It been a long time I heard his voice, but it never stopped sounding good to my ears. It's just like the right medicine for my sickness.

"I have a week long leave and I want to go out, will you get time to go with me?" I went straight to the point, not knowing how to react to his comment.

"Tell me when and where to meet you, and I'll be there on time? He said jokingly which made me smile, or should I say I blushed.

" Okay, I'll send you the address." I ended up the call right after talking, I didn't want him asking me questions I might not be able to answer, nor did I want to give him a chance to change his mind.

I tapped on my phone to send him the first address that came into my mind, not minding what it might cost me. Seconds after sending the address, I received a message and I thought it was a reply to the one I just sent so I read it happily.

*Am there already, can you come over now, or I should pick you up?*

"What! How can he be there by now? Was he doing something there or ..... Never mind, I have to get going." I run to my bedroom, in a hurry to get dresse and left the house as fast as I could not knowing how happy I was, looking like a teenager having a date with her high school prince who she's been in love with. It was only when I got a taxi that I remembered I had not replied the message I got earlier.

*On my way coming, see you.* I texted him and took in long breath after showing the address to the driver. After fifteen minutes drive, I had come to the station where we agreed to meet, and like he was there waiting for me, he opened the door and held my hand to help me out of the car. I stared at him imagining how many car doors he had opened so far before I came.

"Where do we go from here?" He questioned immediately I was out of the car.

"You decide, I'll be okay any where." I forced myself from looking at him while speaking, pretending to be adjusting my yellow dress which berly reached my knee, with half of my back showing. Even though the hands were long sleeves, I still felt I was showing too much of my body.

"Don't worry, you look just fine." I heard a whisper in my ear and I new he was the one talking, so I turned to look at him and our lips almost meet. Before I could react, he held my hand and walked me to a cab I didn't see when he stopped.

Silence took over the entire car and I knew everyone felt uncomfortable. Even the driver had to look into the mirror to know if he made the right turn. Soon the car stopped and out, we all came. I looked around and to my surprise, I was taking to the same place Enoch called his favorite which became my favorite place over the time.

"Well, since we're already here, why not sit at his favorite spot as well." I thought as we walked towards the sea. I took the lead and lead him to the back of the castle where Enoch and I usually sit whenever we go out to have fresh air.

Abigail thought that since she hasn't seen anyone in her windows for the past three days, then the men keeping an eye on her might have stopped coming on Enochs instructions, but that was far from the truth. Infact they were closer than she thought.

Not long after she and her friend had settled at the back of the castle, a man approached tham and asked if they'll buy some of the snacks he was selling, and before Abigail could come up with an answer, her friend bought her almost a per of everything the man was selling. Happily, the man left and the two sat to have the snacks in silence, not knowing they just spoke with one of Enoch's men who was keeping an eye on Abigail.

Meanwhile in Enoch's residence, a phone was smashed into the center table causing both the phone and the glass table to shatter into pieces. The guards outside heard the noise, but they dare not go in to check what was happening, even Gideon hesitated for a bit before entering the living room.

Their kind and friendly boss has turned into a heartless mafia in just a minute after Miss Abigail left the house, making it hard for any of them to communicate with him. Whenever he gets angry, they remember the way he almost choked Efua to death when she returned to the house and refused to leave when she was asked to.

"Sir, that's the fifth phone you've smashed in four days. Is everything okay?" Gideon asked, fearing the answer he might get.

"Get me a new one, and get the car ready, we're going out." Enoch said, ignoring Gideons questions. He walked to his room as many thought run through his head.

"Hello, Frankco. Get my boss a new phone and please, get him something it will be hard to smash. If possible get him two of it." He heard Gideon's voice when he was almost at his door.

"You are going to get it from me." He shouted to Gideon as his door opened and closed on it own after he entered, only then did the maid went to clean the mess caused by Enoch.

Few minutes later, Enoch was done dressing up and his new phone had just arrived by the time he got downstairs, and on his instructions, Gideon sat in the car and set off to a place only known to Enoch.

After few minutes drive Gideon looked out of the window and realized they were in the capital city and noticed where the car was moving towards. "Erm Sir, I think we're going on a wrong direction." He said and smile.

Enoch's face showed his anger, but he kept his cool, ignoring Gideon's statement. After a while, he stopped the car in front of the Castle and stepped out of it and started walking towards the back of the castle.

"I thought you said you weren't coming here again?" Gideon said as he walked behind his boss, remembering the day he asked Enoch to visit this place to help him fell the presence of Abigail only to get a no for an answer, and Enoch even said he was never coming back to that place again.

Enoch stopped midway and turned away from the direction he was going earlier. He walked in a hurry to the rooftop restaurant closed to the castle and went straight to the corner where he and Abigail would usually sit for a mile, and the first thing he saw got him going crazy.

Gideon turned to the direction he was looking to see what got his boss's mood worst then it already was, and to his surprise Abigail was at the back of the castle, chatting with a man they knew very well.

"This guy, he couldn't wait for a week before making his move hah." Now it was Gideon who was getting angry, as if his woman was being snatched.

"No, it wasn't Gasper, it was your madam who couldn't even wait for a week to replace me. I guess she's too angry to think of me." Enoch's voice cracked in anger as he spoke, and even though Gideon didn't agree with him, he dare not say anything.

....

"We've been talking about almost everything except for the reason why you look this sad. Do you want to share?" Gasper asked as they enjoyed the snacks he bought.

" What if I say no?" Abigail asked.

" I wouldn't force you, but you know a problem shared is half solved." He replied and continued enjoying his snack.

"We broke up." She said simply.

"With your fiance? You should be happy then, you never loved him anyway. Now you can give yourself a chance to love and to be loved." Gasper looked surprisingly happy as he spoke.

" Not him." She said sadly as tears filled her eyes.
