Aleena turns to Elara and me next, pointing directly at Elara. She speaks in a commanding tone, her face filled with anticipation as she watches Elara take a step forward. Elara hesitates for a moment before walking over to Aleena, and Aleena hands her a hilt similar to those of the two men before her. I watch Elara take the hilt in her hands, her eyes filled with wonder as she studies the intricate carvings that cover her new blade. The atmosphere in the room grows tense, the anticipation of what the great forge would produce for the fair-haired Elara.
"Step right up, Elara! You are the next contestant on life as an Exorcist, stay tuned if everyone in our audience wants to find out her superpower!"
Elara shyly walks up to the machine and places her hand on the panel, the hilt of her new blade held tightly in the opposite hand. Her curiosity is evident, her green eyes wide with wonder. As her hand touches the panel, electricity crackles, and a series of strange symbols flash across what looks like a mirror attached to the machine. Dr. Walker returns to her device and continues her work, a glimmer of excitement in her eyes as she monitors Elara's progress. The machine whirrs and rumbles to life, the noise filling the room.
A moment later, Elara yelped, "That hurts!"
"Indeed it does… Now, stay still for me, my little Elara!" Aleena replied.
The machine begins its work again, this time sending six different liquids pouring into the massive technology engine. The liquids flow and mix together, the machine whirring and humming as it starts to create something new. Dr. Walker is enthralled, jumping up and down with delight as she watches the magic unfold before her eyes. She claps her hands together, the sound echoing off the walls. It is a scene of utter joy, the success of the great forge working its magic, filling her with happiness and a sense of accomplishment.
"Yes… Yes… Oh, may, she is like Allen von Yeager! The second human to ever reach six mana-types. This day is Holy!" she exclaimed.
The hammers slam down repeatedly once more, the sound echoing throughout the laboratory. This time, however, it takes five times as long as it did with Evander Schroeder. The machine churns and roars, its gears and valves working in unison. The noise is deafening, punctuating the air with each thunderous hammer strike. The lab assistants move in and out with supplies and equipment, all watching eagerly. Dr. Walker manages the process with intense concentration, and her brow creases as she studies the device's output. Every time the hammer swings, a new fluid flows into the forge, mixing with the previous liquids and forming something new. Watching is fascinating, and my eyes are glued to the spectacle before me.
With each impact, the liquid in the forge shifts and changes, the colors becoming more vibrant and vibrant. Finally, the machine comes to a stop, the noise dying down. Dr. Walker turns to me with a wide grin on her face, anticipation in her eyes. 'What has the great forge created this time?' The minutes drag by slowly, their gazes glued to the machine as they wait for a sign of progress. Finally, the noise stops, and the device falls silent.
The machine begins shaking as if the city is experiencing an Earthquake. The machine whines, and the sound of metal grinding floods the laboratory as if the world is being torn apart. The noise is deafening, the vibrations making it seem like everything is about to crumble. I watch as Dr. Walker runs over to the controls, desperately trying to keep the machine from destroying itself and the laboratory with it. Suddenly, the noise ceases, the shaking stopping as suddenly as it had begun. Dr. Walker turns to me with a look of astonishment on her face, the chaos over.
Then, everything blacks out. The room falls silent. A split second passes before a deep rumbling echoes through it, shaking the walls and floor as if it were the start of a significant earthquake. The grinding sound of metal comes once again, now drowning out the rumbling as it grows louder and louder. I cover my ears, trying to block out the sound but failing as every inch of me is vibrating at once. Even the air is filled with tension, as if everyone is bracing themselves for something. And then, a sharp clap of thunder rings out, marking the end of the machine's process. My breath quickens, my heart racing as I reach out, trying to grasp something, anything to hold onto. Slowly, the darkness recedes, and light returns to the room. The machine sits perfectly still, and everything that once vibrated and shook is now silent and still. It is as if nothing ever happened, and everything is a dream.
"Wait for it!" Dr. Walker whispered.
Time passes for what feels like centuries. It is an eternity of uncertainty and silence that stretches on and on into eternity. Nothing happens; the machine is perfectly still. Then, in a single instant, a blinding light floods the entire laboratory, blinding me and forcing me to shield my eyes. A torrent of air swirls around, a tornado of unimaginable force that propels my hair into wild directions and shakes me to my bones. Everything about this new force is unnatural, violating the laws of nature and all I have known. I am in shock, my brain trying to comprehend what just happened. The light pierces my eyes, burning, and I cover them with my hands in self-defense, trying to block the light out. My ears ring, the rush of wind filling them with a whooshing noise. I can barely hear my own voice over the din of the tornado.
"Elara Bedell, Analysis complete!" the feminine voice said as the room fell silent again.
"Attention, Elara Bedell, please take possession of your new Valhalla of Ragnarok-type Exorcist Longsword of the Holy State Imperial Order! A-rank, AA-rank, AAA-rank, S-rank, and SS-rank dual sentient light weapon," the feminine voice said.
The protective shield lifts away, revealing a sword of magnificent beauty. The newly forged weapon is four times the size of Elara's petite body; it is far bigger than anything she could possibly wield. She reaches out her hand, and the newly forged weapon glides toward her like the sword before. It settles perfectly in Elara's grasp, the balance perfect despite the sword's sheer size. The blade is sleek and elegant, its surface smooth, and its design is reminiscent of some legendary fairy tale weapon. Elara gazes at the sword with awe, her eyes twinkling and her heart racing. The sword seems to be everything she could have ever wanted, its power radiating from every inch of the great blade. Elara holds the sword firmly, her eyes filled with awe, the weight of the weapon filling her with a sense of power. She stares at it for a moment, its light and beauty still dazzling, as if she cannot believe that it is truly hers.
The blade vanishes once the weapon is in her hands, leaving only the hilt like a giant cross hanging from her clenched grip. The handle is massive, nearly seven feet long, towering over Elara's head. The object resembles a spear with its sharp edges and pointed blade, appearing more appropriate for a giant than for Elara. Yet, despite its size, it feels light and balanced in her hands and seems to enhance her fighting abilities rather than hamper them. It is an awe-inspiring sight, the sheer size of the weapon dwarfing the small yet ferocious Elara. The hilt of the sword is in the shape of a holy, and the wood of the sword's grip looks like a piece of wood taken from the trunk of an ancient tree. The hilt seems too large to be wielded by any average person. Still, something about the weapon suggests it is meant to be held by someone of significant strength.
The same lab assistant from before helps Elara place the hilt into its sheath, fitting the massive weapon into the carved wooden design like a key into a lock. Dr. Aleena Walker turns to me and smiles, her face filled with pride and happiness. The assistant follows Aleena out of the laboratory, leaving Elara alone with her new weapon. She stands silently for a moment, staring at the sheath, perhaps wondering what her new abilities might be and what adventures might lie ahead.
As I nervously step into the room, my eyes meet with those of Doctor Aleena Walker, who greets me with a warm smile. My stomach twists into knots, aware of what lies ahead, a daunting encounter with the technological marvel that awaits me. The room is filled with an array of complex machinery, monitors, and screens, each with its own purpose and function. My mind races with anticipation and fear as I prepare to undergo this futuristic procedure.
