Chapter 13 - Meeting The Boss

The receptionist looked up at them. Her eyes widened when she noticed their reputation, and quickly made a call. She led them to a door on her right, and bowed before pushing the door inwards. "You may enter esteemed guests."

Inside the room there was a simple desk with a middle-aged man behind. The man was rather good-looking, and seemed to have an unfathomable aura around him. He stood up to greet them. "Esteemed guests, is there something you need from me?"

Alex looked at him before slowly stating "I wish to know how I could become the boss of this street."

The man froze, and looked at her solemnly before nodding. "You would have to defeat the current boss in combat. No restrictions the only thing that matters is winning."

The man gazed at her, "If this is what you want then I will gladly fight you, but since it would be annoying if everybody could come up, and challenge me, you have to put up a significant bet for if you lose."

Alex nodded, "I will bet all of my reputation points."

The man nodded before slowly saying. "The match will begin in the square at 3:00 tomorrow sharp."

Alex nodded walking out of the building casually before checking her inventory. She had completely forgotten about the chests in her inventory. The [Lucky Chest] was completely random, it could give you a divine-ranked item or a piece of scrap metal. Everything in the world could be obtained from this chest with an equal chance, and as such, due to how much more worthless stuff exists, rarer items were very difficult to get from the chest. She opened the first one.

Alex was somewhat dumbfounded as she looked at the massive steel pipe on the floor. She sighed before putting it back into her inventory. She opened 18 of the remaining chests with the only noteworthy item being another lucky chest. The last 2 were opened.

Alex was stunned. A pseudo-legendary item had appeared.
