Chapter 21 - Travelling Lightning Merchant

The tiger pounced on Alex who quickly retreated, and fought back with a quick whirl of her daggers.

The tiger's defence was ridiculous. Although her strength was pitiful compared to her agility, she was still wielding an extraordinary dagger, and a pseudo-legendary pair of boots. It was incredible to think that this tiger could take such little damage.

The tiger charged at her at great speeds, but Alex was far far faster than the tiger. She swiftly dashed around, and stabbed the tiger in the spine.

Slightly more damage it seems. Xi began casting a spell in the back whilst Alex distracted the tiger. It couldn't keep up with her no matter how hard it tried, and Alex, and Xi quickly whittled down its health.

Grinding it down to death took about 20 minutes, but the rewards sure made it worth the time spent. They obtained some rare equipment that was gifted to Xi, as well as a few strange stones.

Thunder Stone (Very Rare)

The main thing that caught Alex's eye was the cultivator thing. It was a foreign term to her, and she didn't quite understand what it meant, but it was certainly valuable. As such the duo went around grinding thunder tigers along with various other bosses to death. The equipment they had received was rather much, and they got 524 thunder stones in total after grinding for a few days.

As they searched for more bosses to slaughter they came across a strange caravan. It was rather long, and all of the thunderbolts seemed to go to the lightning rod on top of the caravan. The caravan itself looked like a train, and it seemed to be powered by the lightning from the lightning rods.

When the girls got within a kilometre of the caravan it suddenly stopped, and a strange man in a black cloak walked out from the train-like caravan. They didn't know who he was, but it was clear from his aura that he wasn't someone to be trifled with.

"I am known as the Travelling Lightning Merchant, I travel around places with high lightning mana, and sell a myriad of rare items that cannot be found elsewhere. In particular I sell many items related to thunder, and lightning."

The duo was impressed, they decided to look at his shop, but they were stunned when they saw it. The shop had hundreds of epic items, dozens of extraordinary items, 5 pseudo-legendary items, and even a legendary item. A legitimate legendary item. It seemed that this merchant wasn't simple.

When they saw the prices however, they winced. The price for an average epic item was 450 thunder stones which was many days of hard work for them. Alex decided to check out the legendary item. [Lightning Spawn Bloodline (Legendary)]

"This... This is the Lightning Spawn bloodline?"

"Good eye, indeed that is the bloodline from the legendary lightning spawn, and it will be sold for 500,000 thunder stones no more, no less."

That was the item she needed, in fact she hadn't thought about purchasing the legendary item after seeing the price of an epic one, but now that she knew it was the item she needed for her hidden class, Alex was sorely tempted.

The only problem was that 500,000 thunder stones would take an incredibly long time to accumulate.

Alex could only grit her teeth, and call the 50 people that she had brought with her to Redemption Online, and get them all to start grinding for thunder stones, and have a few try to purchase as many thunder stones as possible. It was going to be tough to gather so many thunder stones.
