Theo Williams parted his lips, then gave a bitter smile. "That's true. With Miss Sean backing you, you don't need to fear Xavier Hill."
I sighed quietly at Theo's comment.
Clearly, everyone viewed me as nothing but a freeloader using the Sean family to build my fortune. Changing that perception wouldn't happen overnight.
After chatting briefly, I found Theo wasn't a bad guy. He seemed knowledgeable and idealistic, quite unlike the typical entitled rich kid I'd expected.
"Mr. Raymond!"
I turned, surprised to see Woods Walters had also arrived at the party. He hurried over to me, eyes bright with excitement.
"I didn't expect you to be here too!" he exclaimed.
Woods's appearance genuinely caught me off guard. Given his social standing, he shouldn't have been invited to an event like this.
