Chapter 23 - Tenma Ashura

Guy Crimson: "Speaking of which... where is that stupid lizard now?"

Treyni lowered her gaze respectfully.

Treyni: "Lord Veldora has been slumbering within his cave... for the last thirty years."

Guy's lips twisted into a displeased frown.

Guy Crimson (Mind): That oversized lizard… and that chicken-headed bum Dino… They're the same kind of useless. No—Veldora is worse. At least Dino just sleeps without causing problems. But Veldora? Every time I hear his name, it's either because he's dozing in that cave or destroying cities out of sheer boredom. Hmph… In these past thirty years, there's been a rise in catastrophic-class monsters. Luckily, Gaia and Milim take care of them.

Guy's eyes narrowed as his thoughts deepened further.

Guy Crimson (Mind): That lizard isn't just strong… He's dangerous in ways most don't realize. He already has the second-highest amount of magicules in existence, right after Veldanava himself. And then he went and acquired unique skills: Sloth and Wrath. With their effects, his power only grows. Sloth allows him to store huge amounts of magicules and strength while sleeping, and Wrath accumulates more and more from nature itself. And then… that idiot, Veldora, leaks all of this excess while *sleeping*. Monsters born from his magicules appear across the central world. Some even inherit fragments of his skills! No wonder normal humans can't face them.

He then remembered a particular incident 10 years ago, when a mindless creature born from Veldora's magicules attacked Luminous's newly built Holy Kingdom. Were it not for her timely intervention, it could have been catastrophic.

Guy Crimson (Mind): If Veldora ever awakens with an Ultimate Skill from Wrath or Sloth, the balance of this world could collapse. Even *I* might find that problematic. Luckily, both Unlimited Skills—Satanael, Lord of Wrath, and Belphegor, Lord of Sloth—belong to Milim and Dino.

Guy's unblinking stare sent unease through Treyni. She finally bit her lip and spoke nervously.

Treyni: "Lo... Lord Guy?"

Snapping back from his thoughts, Guy chuckled softly.

Guy Crimson: "Ooooh, yes. Forgive me. I was simply… reflecting."

Treyni hesitated but gave a nod.

Guy Crimson: "By the way… I heard that lizard has more than 1.5 million souls stored within him."

Treyni frowned, unsure.

Treyni: "I do not know the exact number… but yes, Lord Veldora possesses a great many souls."

Guy smirked faintly: "I see. Well then, do me a favor. Go wake that overgrown lizard and tell him I'm here."

After hearing this, Treyni bowed quickly. "At once." With that, her figure slipped away into the depths of the forest.

Guy Crimson exhaled, muttering under his breath. "That dumb dragon… but fine. There are other matters as well."

Meanwhile, deeper within an open meadow, Gaia and Milim were locked in a sparring match. The earth shook with every impact, shockwaves tearing the ground apart. But as expected, Gaia once again collapsed with a groan.

Gaia shouted: "It's unfair!" Clutching her aching shoulder, she added, "I've lost twenty-one times this week already! Can't you at least give me a chance to win, big sis?"

Milim crossed her arms, pouting with playful arrogance.

Milim: "How is it unfair? I didn't even use my True Form, my Combat Mode, or my Ultimate Skill. Instead of whining, you should be grateful to me!"

Gaia's eyes narrowed in frustration.

Gaia (Mind): She didn't use her Ultimate Skill only because I sealed it temporarily with my Anti-Skill. Otherwise, I know for sure she would've blasted me into the sky without hesitation.

Sighing tiredly, Gaia muttered: "Yeah, yeah… you're right. But still—you could show me *some* mercy."

Before Milim could respond, she noticed Guy's presence. Milim turned her head toward him, and Gaia, noticing the shift, also looked his way.

Guy also noticed their grace and walked toward them.

Guy Crimson: "It took you too long to notice me."

Milim: "You see, I was busy bullying… I mean, training Gaia."

Guy Crimson and Gaia both looked at her in shock.

Guy Crimson: "I see."

Milim: "By the way—Guy! What are you doing here? Don't tell me you came to fight me, because you know I'll win!"

Guy smirked at her playful challenge, shaking his head slowly.

Guy Crimson: "Not this time, Milim. I didn't come to fight. I came here to give you a gift."

Reaching into a dimensional rift of light, Guy pulled forth a weapon that radiated unbearable power. It was a sword whose appearance carried both awe and terror.

Guy Crimson, his voice echoing with quiet weight: "This is Tenma Ashura—a Genesis-Class sword. It once belonged to your father, Veldanava himself."

For a moment, silence blanketed the meadow. Milim's playful demeanor gave way to wide-eyed shock. Gaia, too, felt his breath catch at the oppressive presence of the sword—so sharp and absolute it seemed capable of cutting even the fabric of the world.

Guy held the weapon out, his gaze softer than usual.

"It's time, Milim. This sword belongs to you now."

To be continued.
