The site was nothing more than a mere picnic area, some boxes and crates, as well as a massive cage that was quickly used to keep Carta inside. No damage was done towards the cage, not even a broken lock, implying it must've been let out willingly to act as protection. There doesn't seem to be a ship either around them, at least not on a proper first glance. The children were quick to hear hard clanks across the ground, prompting Solomon to do one heavy stomp and see that it was hidden under the dirt and grass, masked to act as the earth itself. "Careful, now! We wouldn't want to trip over here." Johanne teased, as he'd try to look through a few crates, a cool air felt when its open. The children were still skeptical, prompting them to break away a small bit just to see what's going on with the flooring. Their eyes dart over how far the metallic flooring crosses, extended more and more the longer they tried to look for it.
It was like a platform rather than a ship, something to hold it steady. A foundation for their vehicle.
"Juice is ready!" The man shouted, having a pitcher of Orange Juice, chilled to a perfect temperature, as well as some glass provided by Janie to service them. The kids were forced to come back, but one was able to make a mental note by carving the layout across Shady, using his facial features to form out as a map. Once they took the drinks and had a sip, the boys nearly spat theirs out as they see someone coming up in the distance. "Oh! If it isn't our esteemed hunters-for-hire! I take it you made sure you have the meals prepared for Carta? He's getting rather ravenous, nearly eating our guests here."
"The hell are you talking abo- WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?"
"PFFT! Well, look at that Bronx! We got familiar faces here!"
A Man in a three piece suit and a golden cane. A Man with a massive gun on his arm. Bronx Stophles and Axel Broadway in the flesh. The four couldn't believe what they were seeing, with only Applin being indifferent. "What? They're in the Circle! Of course they- Oh. Ohhhhhhh..." She was catching up the small problem that they were still warring with each other, almost neglected in such an idea. It does bring a curious question that the children were universally thinking: Why are they teaming up? And with them of all people?
"I take it you know them by any chance?" Johanne asked, acting innocently as if he wasn't the one who orchestrated the two to arrive. Bronx was quick on grabbing him by the collar and holding him up.
"YEAH! YOU NEVER TOLD ME THEY'D BE-" His outburst was quickly stunted as he'd let go and grip his chest, a strain visible by the veins across his neck. He'd take heavy breaths as he looked on at the man, seeing him carry such an innocent smile still. "...Nevermind. Just... why are they here?"
"Is it a problem if they're here?"
"YES!!"
"Well, I'm not them, so I don't see an issue in it! What about you, Axel? Do you see an issue with this?" Johanne's callous replies were starting to tick off the Sniper, almost intentional in such acts. Axel would simply shrug as he'd flick his hat down, letting him rest under the golden sun with his arms behind his head.
"Surprised, but not against it. If it means raising up a few stakes, I'll take that chance!" His words were as careless as they were wonderous, a smile under his hat as he'd keep such ponders to himself.
"Then there we go! We have no issues here whatsoever. Now, for the meals to the beast?" Johanne commanded, to which a distraught and resented Bronx was quick on delivery: Meats of various sizes, shapes, and smells, all of which were quickly fed towards Carta. The moment it enters his cage, the Card Monster wolfed them down almost instantly, chomping away like a hyena and swallowing like a bird, with the kids looking away, not wanting to imagine what kind of stomach or insides it would have if it were made up of cards. "Muuuuch better. You having your fill, big guy?" Johanne's arm reached out, almost mingled with the meats, yet the beast was quickly aware of such and lowered its head, as if it was servicing its master, a pet before him. "That's what I thought. Just a tad hungry, nothing more. Now then, in regards to our deal?"
"Deal?"
"Oh, right, you weren't there. These kids essentially got harassed by our dearest creation. We just got them rescued after such and would like to... repay them, I suppose? Wouldn't want any bad impressions left after such... unfortunate meetings, dare I say?"
"You mean to tell me you let it out? For what purpose?"
"Well, a Monster has to get some exercise every so ofte-"
"Alright, Heard enough." Solomon was quick on placing his cup down, the first to finish his drink, as he confronts the situation at hand. "I'm addressing it NOW. THAT! Belongs to a Demon. How the hell did you get that under your control?"
Johanne's smile was beginning to twitch, with Janie being quick on having a few napkins to pat down on his sweat when it came out. "S-sorry, I don't recall such a Demon being involved in our wares. Must be an active imagination of you-"
"Jesta Spade? Ring a bell there? Because I can faintly, VIVIDLY remember it being born when we got jumped and usurped before he decided to ditch us! Not to mention the fact one of our teammates was left horribly scarred by such a thing to where he has a WEEK TO LIVE!"
"W-w-well, I never would've though he'd do such a thing! We really have a large debt under us, do we?"
"So explain it, then. How did you get ahold of Jesta Spade's Monster?"
The smile left on his face was growing wider, almost ear-to-ear, stressing by the second. Solomon kept his ground, while his friends eyed them suspiciously as they sip in their drinks. Janie would back away and do a small gesture to simmer it down, before Johanne spoke up. "We do not recall a... 'Jesta Spade', my friends. Not one at all..." His voice was breaking. He was lying to them.
