Chapter 466 - Chapter 466: Black Angel

KRACCCC!!!!

The hand was beginning to shatter, the sigil with it. Leon would squint his eyes as he'd see the beam of light blazing through, watching it quell, letting him back up. "Okay... let's see if the miscreant took my advice to heart." He'd mumble, allowing the puppets head to attach onto his own, a visor to read off any signatures or signs of movement. To his surprise, there was some, indicating he was able to survive. "Heart rate's normal. Just beating a bit from the adrenaline. Least he's alive to see his own failure. As for the energy rating..."

He wouldn't notice it. As he tried to study on the child, he didn't saw the small glimmer of light that expelled back. Eyesockets that burn like the sun, a halo visible around the Demon's head. Fire that would flow freely from his body, almost as if his body expanded with it. Once Zazel parted the dust, that very image faded with it, a new armor set made from the power Stolas passed on. Celestial feathers for proper leather, talon-like gloves with steel on its ends. His eyes bigger and with a black hole for each, a void of space that draws anyone that looks into it inside. A traditional robe-like cape unfurling down, as Zazel would leap up and try to utilize his departed magic, creating a low gravity field in order to reach farther distances, debilitating Leon if he were to attempt a similar method. In response, Brunono would chart through the string-like armor, allowing the light to flare and shine down, blinding Zazel in the process. Even with such loss of vision, The Demon persisted, blasting down the ground with a star in order to let it lift, acting as platforms and projectiles to toss into the Debt Collector, all while he tries to regain his sight. Brunono would swoop to and fro, trying to make use of the rubble, watching as some would try to crash into one another in order to pin him down.

"Alright... You're actually WEARING the damned Goetia's! That's something new!" A taunt, but such vocality would expose him, letting the Demon snipe a rock into Leon and force him to be afloat again. The strings would protect him, but it wouldn't help him against the situation where it became nigh uncontrollable when leaving his body. Zazel would get his eyesight back and try to set up a star, letting its radiance, alongside the ozone layer being damaged, to deliver a double prong attack. With the Ultraviolet light from the smiling sun, as well as the heat provided by the new star, it would start to charge the strings again, as well as the outer shell that acts as his 'Body.' Furthermore, Zazel could see from down below his two friends, seeing them nearly downed, trying to see if he can set up a star to descend. Unfortunately, because of the massive space the low gravity field took, such a star would not reach them, being drifted off course as a result. Once the two heats converged, the skin suit began to deteriorate, cells burning up, a stark red being made from exposure, the layers peeling and even severing in order to release whatever was inside. It was like a seed, breaking apart and parting way so that the flower bloomed, with his arm finally able to break off and reach up.

The remains wilted away as the body stood tall, even lighter than his previous form, floating up high and leaving the area around. The only word to describe Leon's true form is 'surreal.' A proper adult build, with only longer limbs and a thinner, starved chest in comparison to anyone else. In place of his head though is a green pyramid, each side holding a eye that stared out to the cardinal directions, dotted lines to act as bags and crows' feet. As he descends, he'd dust off any skin or debris on his tailor made suit, snapping his bony fingers to call upon his puppet, using the strings to pull them in faster. Zazel would try to interrupt this by reaching for his own star and kicking it like a soccer ball directly onto the Pyramid, but Leon merely raised his finger to let the puppet be controlled, catching the star in the process. It once again charges the artifact as it gets placed onto his body, adorned like a proper set of armor, the strings now firmly sewed across his body, his hands able to eject it out and assemble it into a web mid-shot, a celestial color visible as it snared and pins the Demon into the same area, forcing him to be cooked under both heat sources. When he walked forward to Zazel, the Demon can see his personality changed almost on a dime. He wasn't mad, nor trying to demean or throw insults. He remained quiet, letting the suit prepare for another set of string to connect, deep breaths taken, his side eye gazing at his compatriots struggling.

SHIKK!!! SHIKK!!!

Two strings, both stabbing into his respective compatriots, letting them take in the energy, allowing them to restore back to full, before pulling his strings back and focusing towards Zazel. "What.... are you?" The child asked.

"I am Leon Brunono.... Owner of this shop. I believe that is the obvious you've seen so far-"

"No, no. WHAT... are you?"

The question lingered, as the eyes closed and he'd roll his shoulders, adjusting them a bit. "Human." was all he answered.

The Demon couldn't believe what he heard. It felt blasphemous, in comparison to the other people he's seen. At least when they become inhuman, it was an extent of their magic. This feels like something that already existed. The tall man merely looked down upon the child, arm raised up high. String would trail across his fingers, a shimmer of light to reflect on its surface. "How long have you lived like this...?"

"Just enough."

A cold came down on the Demon's spine as fast as the arm lowered, an attempt to bisect the child and leave him for dead in the makeshift web. It wasn't until a strong pulse came from the shop to let the chop be interrupted, just enough time for Sabnock to be summoned, an axe made to part and tear it down, an escape for the child as he'd ready himself for a second round.
