Randy Hill listened quietly as Edward Anderson spoke of Bella Scott so tenderly.

The boy and girl in the story were also very touching. It seemed like the days that would never return, but as Edward retold the tales, the fog of memory was lifted, and everything came back to life. He seemed to see the young Edward following the young Bella, a scene that one could only yearn for.

"When everything settles down, Mr. Anderson should explain everything to Miss Scott. I'm sure she will forgive you," Randy comforted Edward.

He understood Edward's genuine fear and anxiety.

What if Edward avenged himself as he wished, but Bella had already gone far away and had moved on? What would Edward do then?

Can feelings be salvageable after they are lost?

Even he felt lost; how must Edward feel?

It was Edward who had pushed Bella away. She had no reason to wait for someone who was already considered gone. She, too, had the right to choose happiness.
