"I used to be your sworn enemy, and represent the most unbearable part of your past. It's only normal for you to keep your distance from me. In my world, you shouldn't even exist." Tariq Lane said, waving goodbye to Cecelia Anderson.
Cecelia watched Tariq's figure disappear into the night, unable to snap out of the daze for quite a while.
When she got back home, she recalled Tariq's words and felt a heavy burden weighing on her heart.
Bella Scott knew why Cecelia had come to see her: "You met Tariq, didn't you?"
"Yeah, he gave me a ride home. I asked him to stop his indulgent ways, and he agreed. Before leaving, he told me to avoid him if I ever saw him again and not to greet him." Cecelia replied, her mood downcast.
Bella didn't know what to say.
Tariq's words obviously had deeper meaning; did it imply that Jamison Allen would face a major calamity in the future? Would those close to Jamison get entangled in his affairs? Was that the meaning?
