The waitress pointed to an empty seat by the window and said, "A couple just sat there to eat, but the child you described wasn't wearing a yellow-green T-shirt; he was in a gray-blue short-sleeved sports outfit."

A few others confirmed this, just as a male waiter returned from the direction of the restroom.
